Pros : open on January 1st, very nice to get a coffee delivered on New Year's morning.
Cons : the coffee doesn't come in a bag, so it was pretty cold, & they use double lid so it doesn't spill, sounds like a lot of plastic waste to me. Starbucks uses little stickers to cover the hole. I wish Second Cup would that.
Oh, & also : they charge extra for plant based milk. Starbucks dropped the surcharge.
Please Second Cup, do better.

Just stopped quickly for a coffee & let me say it was absolutely delicious wowww!! Definitely just found my new fav spot for my morning coffee:) girl serving today gave me excellent service totally made my morning! 10/10 recommend

We stopped by on our way to our hotel. The place was very pleasant to be at, staff was nice & coffee was delicious. My son had Dubai hot chocolate that was actually'too' sweet for him so my husband had to step in. :) We did not buy any food so I cannot comment on that but we enjoyed it there.

Got the latte chocolate dubai & enjoyed it a lot. Nearby to Schwartz & Fyra Yoga. Situated conveniently near the corner & accessible by bus as well. Cozy atmosphere.

Second Cup ;-) un joli café situé à Montréal, avec une ambiance très chaleureuse. On peut décrire cet endroit comme étant chaleureux & accueillant, confortable & moderne.
Le service & l'attitude des employés sont bien faits, ils essaient de satisfaire le plus rapidement possible en fonction de la demande & le menu est conforme aux normes.
Cet endroit permet de faire des défilés dans les environs & de profiter de plusieurs endroits où l'on peut trouver des produits de toutes sortes...
Le parking est payant dans la zone.

The service & the employes' attitude are well done; they try to satisfy customers as quickly as possible according to demand, & the menu meets standards.
This place allows you to shop in the surrounding area & enjoy various spots where you can find all kinds of products...
Parking is paid in this area.

It's a bright & nice atmosphere.
The music may change on the day but it's always good.
The food & drink are typical but sufficient for a seating.
Parking may be a challenge depending on the day & time of day.
If you want to dine in, you can ask for ceramic mugs & plates instead of plastic & paper products which is nice! That's more than what most other places offer.
It seems busier on weekends than on weekdays.
The coffee grinding machine is horribly loud, though.
& the chairs are loud when you move them & they scrape against the floor.
Can the owner please change the chairs' feet to something QUIETER?

Ordered a cream cheese bagel & iced latte by Ubereats this morning. I couldn't even take a bite in my bagel since it was hard & stale, I had to throw it away. The iced latte was fine, but I wish it came with a straw. I won't be ordering from this place again!

Depuis mon arrivée à Montréal il y a presque 4 ans, cet endroit décontracté (au coin des rues Roy & Saint-Laurent) est devenu l'un des endroits que je fréquente le plus souvent pour une simple pause-café.
Le café filtre est toujours corsé & son prix est très raisonnable. Bien que je n'aie pas goûté la plupart des plats proposés, ils sont également proposés à des prix raisonnables pour leur volume (une pâtisserie que j'ai déjà goûtée était cependant un peu trop sucrée pour mes papilles japonaises).
La simplicité & l'agencement spacieux de la salle lui confèrent une ambiance réconfortante & relaxante. L'ambiance est d'autant plus agréable grâce à l'accueil chaleureux & professionnel des excellents baristas.
À l'exception d'une occasion où j'ai trouvé la musique assez bruyante, je n'ai pas encore trouvé de meilleur endroit pour passer le temps, lire ou écrire tout en savourant une tasse de café chaud & apaisante.
