Atmosphere & service are great! A good amount of vegetarian options at the salad bar but limited vegan items with potential for cross contamination with dairy ending up in all the salads. A little label symbol with what allergens are in each salad would be helpful. Like, meat dairy, nuts, sesame. Or simply a V for vegetarian. VG for vegan. :)
Amazing place. The salad bar is what gives this place an edge over all other fast food restaurants around. You have soups, green salads, pastas, spreads, nachos, fruits in there, fresh & unlimited if you pick an option that comes with salad bar included or just pay for that. Chicken & ribs were delicious & not dry at all. Overall very good place if you want to eat properly. Service was also very good, pleasant & fast. Recommended for sure! Good value for money
I had an amazing dining experience! I have no regrets choosing Nickels as my final dining experience before leaving. The pina colada was hands down the best I've ever tasted in Canada, perfectly balanced, smooth, & incredibly refreshing. I definitely will be travelling back just for the pina colada alone! The ribs were just as impressive, soft, tender, & full of rich, delicious flavor that practically melted off the bone.
The buffet salad bar offered a great variety of fresh options, making it easy to customize exactly what you're in the mood for. Everything was well presented & tasted fresh.
On top of that, the customer service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, & made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this spot & will be returning!

The attitude of the server was not respectful!
Instead of explaining the rules to not share the salad bar option with other people on table, she had an quite aggressive manner toward the customers!
Bonne nourriture, options de bar à salade par contre c'est triste contrairement à leurs compétiteurs aucune options végan. Niveau service on voulait une table pour avoir plus de lumière & ils ont dit que cette table n'était pas servie & de bouger de 2 tables à côté...
So I came to have dinner with my kids like we do at this place once in a month or do takeout to my surprise today we went in for the dinner served by an old waitress the time of payment she came with the bill, I paid the bill & tipped her what I want she asked me how was my service I said it was good & it's always good to be here as we come from 30 km to have food from here as it's a good gluten free options restaurant then with an attitude she said you didn't tip me atleast 10% of your bill, I asked if it's a compulsion it's my wish & then she left. It's a first time experience at any good restaurant.
I ordered take out at dinner time. Chose the salad bar for better vegetarian options, though there were some other choices for vegetarians on the menu. Place was inviting, cozy & clean. Food was good. Soup & salad options were plentiful (heavier on the salad). I also ordered a dessert (carrot cake), which was equally as good. Saw lots of families eating in. Service was fast & attentive.
The service was very fast & the waitress was really kind. I also had the salad bar which was my favourite part. I have been to a few scores. This salad bar was the best i seen so far. Lots of options & everything was fresh. I took the poulet chasseur. Which i had trouble finishing because It was so filling.
