We went for a brunch right after we arrived in Montreal. We stayed in the Westmount area so it is a walking distance. The owner/chef was super friendly & bakes everything fresh himself. The portion was large enough that we had to take the leftover with us. The food feels fresh even though schnitzel is supposed to be deep fried. Highly recommend!

Had a great meal & great conversation with the owner. Food is delicious. Definitely try the breakfast schnitzel if you pass by. The sausage was also great. Danke schön!

Volker is extremely welcoming, is a fabulous chef, everything is made from scratch by Volker's very able hands! From breads, cookies, cakes to sausage! You cannot get a better brunch/lunch for quality & price. A hidden gem!!

Don't skip this spot, Schnitzel & Cie par Bagel was a breath of fresh air. We stayed in an nearby Airbnb & were in search of a BEC (bacon, egg & cheese--very american of us) but what we found was so much better. Fresh bagels, rolls & breads await behind the counter. The owner is a renaissance man--he's tending to guests, explaining options & cooking your order in addition to baking all of the items beforehand himself. On his rec, we got the homemade sausage with egg & cheese on fluffy yogurt rolls (I believe they were Quarkbrötchen..?) with a side of potatoes. The whole family loved it & I wish we had discovered this gem on our first morning in Montreal & not our last.
