Sav Sav was one of my favorite matcha spots in the city - until this past weekend.

I've always appreciated their creativity with drinks, but this weekend the vibe was completely ruined by one employee (moustache man… it's clearly not just me…see other reviews 👀).

He made two matchas - one with coconut milk for me (lactose-sensitive girlie over here), & one with regular milk for my friend, who hates coconut milk. Then he plopped them down, said he didn't know which was which, & walked away. Not exactly the kind of attitude you want when you're paying $10+ for a drink…

I messaged the owner, who acknowledged my message… but no apology, no offer to make it right, not even a'sorry you had a bad experience.' Just bad taste all around.

Sadly, won't be going back - there are too many other good spots in this city that get both matcha & customer service right.

J'aime tellement ce café. La déco est incroyable. Délicieux matcha latte glacé à la fraise… & c'est génial qu'ils le proposent en pichet.

Après avoir fait deux fois le tour du bâtiment pour trouver l'entrée, on se retrouve dans un lieu fort agréable ou le service est rapide & les sandwichs très généreux!

Like many spots in Montréal, Sasav ends up relying heavily on its cachet & cool location. The food & drinks are still in the process of catching up to the atmosphere. That is not to say the food & drinks are bad. They are good, but not excellent. The prices are on the high end of what is expected for a Montréal but they are not unexpected.

this is one of the best cafés I've ever tried like literally all of their drinks all of their food, exceptional like I've never eaten sandwich that is that delicious like I'm not even joking. It was as if I was high & eating it, but I wasn't even high & it tasted that good. It's crazy. I was genuinely blown away.

Their non-alcoholic beverages are absolutely insane, & priced decently! Couldn't recommend more. Plus, the service is A1. I didn't order food but will be back for sure. 🍊

Absolutely love this coffee shop! Been going for some time now & have always had a great experience. Highly recommend. Would love if there would be a way to protect pedestrians when leaving the side door however (deep wall prevents you from seeing on both sides of the door). You can't see when cars drive through the alley & almost got hit when leaving!

I had been there for happy hour last year summer! It is a great place to have drinks & brunch! Tartine salmon is one of my favourite! Sandwich with Salami, pesto, cheese & hot honey 🍯 is also great!

I love love love this cafe!! Went like twice but it was such a nice ambiance
I kinda wished it closed later than 5h like before as I dont have time to make it before 5 but love the staff, the matcha & the atmosphere!!

Nice ambiance & friendly staff, but not the best spot if you're looking to study or work - most tables are reserved for dining, & the few available spots with outlets fill up quickly. The matcha latte is excellent: smooth, rich, & generously sized - definitely big enough to share between two people. The breakfast sandwich was just okay; the sausage had a strange herbal flavor that wasn't really to my taste, & overall it felt overpriced for what you get. Great for a quick coffee catch-up, but maybe not ideal for working or breakfast.

Super confusing entrance if it's your first time here. You have to enter through the main entrance at 780 Brewster st. If you come during opening, don't expect them to have any food/bakery items ready. Good (expensive) coffee & drinks, & lots of seating.

Un café extraordinaire!

J'adore cet endroit! Tout est bon, l'ambiance est chaleureuse & cozy, & l'espace est lumineux & agréable. Contrairement à d'autres cafés, on ne se sent pas serré les uns sur les autres, ce qui rend l'expérience encore plus plaisante. J'y suis allé plusieurs fois & à chaque visite, c'est un vrai plaisir.

Le seul (petit) point à noter : le Wi-Fi est ouvert à tous, donc la connexion peut prendre un instant au début, mais une fois connecté, ça fonctionne très bien.

Bref, un endroit parfait pour se poser, travailler ou simplement profiter d'un bon café dans un cadre relaxant!

Café parfait pour le télétravail ! Ambiance respectueuse, nourriture & cafés excellents ! Le matcha est vraiment un incontournable.

Difficile de stationner en voiture par contre.
