Super friendly & patient staff. Add the quality food & the experience is memorable. Extremely enjoyable evening with friends which resulted in meeting some fun characters due to the energetic atmosphere & vibe.View more
Always a favorite. Good vibes. Clean restaurant. Food is not 100% authentic but it's good for the Canadian palate.View more
Absolutely legendary spot. The food is delicious, the price point is more than fair, the staff is welcoming & laid back & the vibe is just perfect. I keep going back. What a place, always a guaranteed good time.View more

I love this place. I'd made a reservation a month prior & was sat right in a high traffic area so would have preferred a better table but was 10 minutes late for the reservation.View more
I only ordered take away so cannot comment on the dining service but it took about 20-25 minutes for our take away to be ready as it was very busy. The restaurant itself is well decorated & has a cool & hip ambience but the noise factor was through the roof (probably due to the design of the interior & lack of sound absorption). If the restaurant is full & you are hoping to have a decent conversation with your fellow diners, forget it! I'm sure if the restaurant wasn't full, then perhaps it's a wonderful place for a meal! The food itself is a 3 star due to lack of authenticity, flavour & size. We ordered the laksa soup noodles & Char Kway Teow. The laksa portion was probably half of what I would expect from a laksa noodle dish as am used to a generous portion of laksa & noodles. Perhaps the concept of this restaurant is smaller portions, I'm not too sure. The soup was tasty but mainly of coconut & spice & was missing the aroma of the seafood broth base. There were only two small portions of tofu puffs, loads of bean sprouts & the noodles were not as expected. Normally one would use it egg noodles/hokkein noodles/vermicelli. Despite it being not authentic, it did taste nice & hit the spot. The Char Kway Teow was nothing but disappointing. Even though there were generous portions of Chinese sausage (a little too largely sliced & too many if you ask me), the flavour was completely off. All I could taste was sweetness & soy sauce, perhaps the sauces were used in the wrong proportion? It was also missing the aroma from the smokiness of the wok, which generally would result in caramelisation on the noodles & some of the ingredients. I just didn't feel like I was eating a Char Kway Teow at all, very disappointing indeed! Next time, I would like to try some of the other dishes but not getting my hopes up!View more

I have been a fan of Satay Brothers since they opened but in the last two years I don't know what happened - I've never felt so unwelcome in a place. The last two times I went this year (May 2023 & March 2024) was the same: enter the restaurant, uncomfortably wait around for at least 10min in the entrance while staff walks around you & never acknowledge you (until THEY are ready to do so), wonder what is happening & whether you should just leave, then someone takes your name & shuffles you to their bar next-door so you can drink while you wait - but no one ever really tells you how long the wait will be. I'm happy to wait 1-2hrs but you have to tell me. That's called managing expectations. Food is good but for the service you get from the moment you walk in to when you pay, there are better options. I'm speaking as someone who highly values service quality. That said, if you're looking for a nice night out & to feel part of the "in crowd" & service quality isn't something important to you, then definitely go bc that's exactly what you're gonna get. The decorations are gorgeous & the music is great. Social media has that part right. Anyway, your money & your decisions!View more
Wow! View more
We need more places like this in Montreal. The music, the people, the food transported you for the night. Only ick was the wait for our table, but they made up for it with everything else. Make sure to order the papaya salad & fried chicken.View more
View more
C'est bon mais sans plus, un peu trop piquant à mon goût.View more
