The food is as good as or better than that in the Caribbean. We are from Puerto Rico & share similarities in our cuisines. It was the most surprising & gratifying experience to indulge in delicious tropical home-based dishes right here in Montreal. Wonderful service too!
When you enter the restaurant, you start reading all the messages written all over the walls. Very cozy environment with latino music background & superb service. It was not busy for a Friday evening. This was our first time eating mofongo & it did not disappoint. If you are a plantain lover, this is your dish! The beef mofongo was a saucy dish which went well with the mofongo, the chicken was well seasoned but it was pan fried, so it was on the dried side. Both complemented by a small salad & an amazing salsa. We also tried their sancocho & it was so rich, so flavour... if you are a soup lover, you will love it. Don't forget to ask for dessert as it is not in the menu! We had tres leches, flan de coco, & regular flan. All very good! Overall it was a great experience trying this Dominican restaurant: the food, the ambiance, the people.
Authentic Dominican Street food. Fried everything. Delicious, can't wait to go back. Good value for money too. I peaked in the kitchen & the place was spotless!
