The Aleppo manakish & the mouhamara are the best … cheese zaatar meat pies are to die for . It's very friendly & clean atmosphere. Everyone works there with a smile on their face. With so many places to eat middle eastern cuisine in Laval ;Sanabel stands way ahead of all .
I ordered kechk & lahmajoun manakish. Before heading over, I called to confirm the details & the total price. When I arrived, I was surprised to find that the price was suddenly higher than what I was told on the phone.
When I asked for an itemized receipt to understand the difference, the owner looked shocked & initially refused to give it to me, claiming that if he printed a receipt, he would have to charge me taxes. I stood my ground & insisted. Once I finally got the receipt, I discovered that the taxes were already included in the price, but he just didn't want me to know so he could pocket the extra money. To top it off, I paid in cash. If his goal was to avoid taxes, why secretly include them in my total?
This is a clear attempt at fraud & outright theft. Be very careful & always demand an itemized receipt if you go there!
I had an amazing experience at Sanabel bakery. The dough is perfectly soft on the inside with just the right crisp on the outside, & you can really taste the freshness in every bite. the cheese one is perfectly melted & not too salty-just the way it should be.
What really stood out to me is the authenticity. It genuinely feels like you're having traditional manakish straight from the Middle East. The ingredients taste high quality, & everything is made fresh to order.
The service is friendly & fast, & the atmosphere is warm & welcoming. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or sitting down to enjoy, it's a great spot.
Highly recommend this place if you're craving real, flavorful manakish!
