Overall, San Sebastian Cafe is described as a cozy spot with a variety of seating that makes it ideal for studying, working, or chatting with friends. The cheesecake, often with pistachio or biscoff toppings, and the coffee are highlighted as standout treats, though some reviews note price and occasional service delays. The vibe is friendly and relaxed, inviting long visits, with many praising the staff and the comfortable atmosphere while a few mentions point to cleanliness or cost as caveats.
I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Sab Sebastian Cafe! We ordered their famous San Sebastian cake, & it was baked to perfection-beautifully caramelized on the outside & perfectly rich & creamy on the inside.
To take it to the next level, we paired it with both the Biscoff sauce & the milk chocolate sauce. The combination was heavenly. The warm, rich milk chocolate & the sweet, spiced Biscoff perfectly complemented the cheesecake without overpowering it.
If you are craving an incredible dessert, I highly recommend stopping by. We will definitely be coming back for more!
Cute & comfortable. Latté was 7$ approx. San Sebastián cake is 8.99$ & then you're charged 1$ extra if you want a topping & 1.50$ if you choose pistachio from among them. Cake slice is small & its gooey. The Texture is nice but it leans more on the salty than sweet.
Tasted the cake which was amazing. Stuff was not that welcoming. Only one of them was struggling with the order other one was just standing. Good for nothing. Anyway must try the cake. Price reasonable.
Cozy & chic vibes, fair price with generous coffee proportion, efficient & friendly service, all freshly homemade dessert! The whole cafe is a full vibe, really like the interior decorative items there. I tried the signature San Sebastián cheese cake, you could choose your own sauce & it will be in the cone, then you pull it in by yourself with the portion you want. The owner is super nice & informative. We shared interesting conversations & ideas. & apologize for delaying his procedure that failed the cake in the oven🥲
Tried their San Sebastian cheesecake with Biscoff sauce during a BOGO offer. Texture-wise, it felt much closer to a regular cheesecake rather than a true Basque cheesecake. I was expecting a gooey center & didn't really get that, which was a bit disappointing since that's my personal preference. Taste-wise, it was fine but nothing particularly standout, it was very similar to a standard cheesecake. The cake itself has a good level of sweetness on its own, but with the Biscoff sauce it becomes overly sweet. For the BOGO price, it's a decent deal, but at full price I probably wouldn't order it again.
Stumbled upon San Sebastian Café on a cold night & so glad we did. The San Sebastian cake with dark chocolate sauce was incredible - rich, not overly sweet, just perfect. They have great decaf options too. The interior & ambience are beautiful. The staff was very sweet & welcoming. A perfect end to the evening. Highly recommend.
Absolutely LOVED!! this place. Visiting from outside the city. Great cheese cake not at all too sweet & I had it paired with biscoff topping & it was perfect not at all too sweet & went well together.
The atmosphere was super chill, warm & relaxing. We got the steeped tea to accompany the dessert & it was great.
Would definitely return in future & would recommend to anyone looking for a good relaxing warms dessert location in Montreal.
Tried cheesecake with the pistachio cream on top, it was delicious! The cake was fresh, & the coffee & black tea were excellent too.
Definitely coming back to try other toppings next time!
Honestly the place is 10x better than how it looks in the photos. The cakes are really tasty, & the hot syrups make it an interesting new experience to enjoy the cakes!
Very good experience :)
A nice & happy cafe to meet friends & chat.
