Sammi & Soupe Dumpling earns praise for a bright, stylish space and consistently delicious dumplings, with favorites like xiao long bao and pan fried varieties keeping regulars coming back; the menu is varied, affordable, and includes a satisfying mix of dumplings, noodles, and dessert dumplings. The Royalmount location is noted for convenience, easy parking, and a welcoming atmosphere, while the service is described as friendly and efficient even when busy. The dumplings are described as fresh, flavorful, and well made, with the wrappers thin and delicate and fillings juicy, and the overall experience is often highlighted as a dependable go to for a comforting, shareable meal. The ambiance is repeatedly called cozy and modern, the space clean and bright, and many reviews mention a family friendly and pet friendly vibe, with quick takeout and dine in options. Overall, this spot stands out for its high quality dumplings and consistent experience that many readers say is worth a visit when in Montreal.
My mandatory food-stop when visiting the royalmount shopping mall. I've been on multiple occasions & had the same joy every single time. Sammi & Soupe has the greatest dumplings in Montreal regardless of location. The atmosphere at this particular location has a perfect balance of cozy & modern, & the service was fairly efficient especially considering how full it was.
We did wait about 10 minutes to be seated this time, but there is a great digital system to join a queue/wait-list. However this was only the first time I waited to be seated amount 10+ visits.
Food was good not great, but not worth a 45 minute wait on a Friday night. Dumplings in peanut butter sauce was good, soup is a hard pass, we got the classic pork xlb which was alright, & the best thing we had was the pork/chive pan fried dumpling. Bonus points though for having the authentic chili oil.
Reservation system was easy to follow, staff were all kind & nice, making sure we had water as soon as we sat down + giving extra napkins, tables were a little too close together, & the little trinkets are a nice touch (we got the fridge magnet).
La nourriture était correcte, sans plus. Rien d'exceptionnel.

Didn't like the food, nothing special & no real taste, even the peanut butter sauce not that much in the taste ( not saturated) & in the wanton dumplings didn't taste the shrimp!
The soup also needs more spices, no real taste & when we asked about salt, they don't have salt !
Great food & a place that makes you feel safe. I witnessed the lady (maybe the manager) handled a bullying incident with fairness & professionalism. Although she was talking a bit loud, the zero tolerance for bullying was truly admirable. & as always, the food was amazing, especially the classic pork dumplings!!
Never can go wrong with dumplings! If you're a big eater, you'll probably need to order more plates but or else this is great to fill yourself up a little.
Amazing service, you can scan the menu on the table then order. You can eat outside or inside.
Just a little disappointed at the pan fried dumplings because the crust ontop of it was thin. They have soya sauce, vinegar & chili (I was told it's not too spicy)
Tried Sammi & Soupe Dumplings at Royalmount & I was pleasantly surprised! The dumplings taste really good fresh, flavorful, & cooked just right. The staff is friendly & welcoming, & the overall vibe of the place is actually great. Perfect spot if you're craving dumplings in a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend checking it out!
sammi & soupe is my absolute favorite place for soup dumplings! the spicy juicy & pork & coriander are my favorites! the fried pork & curry is also soooo delish! I've been to three locations & the food is always consistent! The Royalmount location is beautiful!
Super clean place & aesthetically pleasing!
Very very kind employees. They were so understanding & thoughtful when we brought our babies there. They have booster chairs available for the seat.
Food is so delicious. They have tea & dessert as well.
My favourite dishes are the xiao long bao pork&chive, the pork&scallops&shrimps, & the peanut butter pork dumplings.
Affordable prices also for what you get!

This new location that opened with the Royalmount is bright, minimalistic & clean, & offers a small terrasse area for outdoor dining.
The soup dumplings are handmade, each with the dough rolled out thin & pleated beautifully. The chicken & mushroom soup dumpling was surprisingly juicy, tender, & wonderfully umami.
The pan-fried dumplings had a nice crispy skirt, but I believe the skirt is made of corn starch as it had a slight chewiness that sticks to the teeth. A flour-based slurry would provide a crispier crunch, but this is a question of personal taste. The beef curry dumpling was flavorful, but filling was on the dry side.
It is also worth noting that prices are slightly higher at this location than others.
The bathrooms were clean, however toilet paper was not provided. Instead, a stack of napkin papers were placed on top of the toilet paper holder which feels both unsanitary & highly uncomfortable to use.
I have had their dumplings at multiple locations, the one in Montreal near Concordia University is the original & is fantastic. The one in the West Island is new & is getting to the status of the others. & this one is just fantastic in terms of quick service, quality of food (always top notch) & cleanliness.
Super clean, fast seating, dumplings taste good, my favorite cocktail (since im not a tea person) was secret garden; blend of vodka & lychee which was really fruity & elegant. Fried dumplings were not dry, xiao long bao was perfect with the sauces & the premium truffle with pork was worth the money
As for the dessert, the red bean & chocolate bao, they were extremely yummy & good conclusion to the meal
everyone was very friendly & nice too! thank you so much
