I got the spicy pork ones & with the soya, vinegar & spicy sauce together the flavours were phenomenal, I'll definitely be back here! :)
As a fan of the original Sammi & Soupe Dumpling on Ste-Catherine street, I witnessed them get popular over the years with long lineups for the best soup dumplings in town at the time. Years later, they opened a second location in Chinatown, & finally crossed the bridge to here in Brossard. This one has the most modern Chinese decor & is quite spacious. With that signature C-pop music playing in the background, you'll feel like you've been transported to Shanghai. If you're trying soup dumplings for the first time, I recommend the pork soup dumplings so you can experience the original, classic taste. My go-to, however, is the one with crab & pork filling. That flavor combination with a dab of black vinegar is a chef's kiss. Truthfully speaking, it's not the exact same to the original soup dumplings found all over the city of Shanghai, but we can't be picky eaters when the best of the best is an ocean away... Sammi & Soupe provides us with freshly handmade delightfulness close to the real deal & is the best authentic option we've got here in the greater Montreal area. I'm grateful to have it so easily accessible & introduced to more people, especially to those who don't like to go downtown for food. This is undoubtedly THE spot for the best soup dumplings off island!
Overall very good! The peanut butter dumplings & sweet & spicy pork were excellent. I would also recommend the steamed sweet juicy pork dumplings
The sweet pork dumplings are amazing! Nice atmosphere & choice of music is always on point.
The soup dumplings here are really good. We went with the classic pork xiao long bao - an amazing go to for soup dumplings. This satisfies my dumpling cravings. Service is great as well! Very friendly & welcoming, s/o to Patrick. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a yummy & comfy dinner.
Amazing dumplings, very fresh food, great service. I recommend de pork & coriander xiao long bao & beef & curry fried dumplings.
Have gotten dumplings from this location for takeout & dine in multiple times & the food is always amazing! Great value for the price as well. I recommend the hot & sour soup, mapo tofu, & the sweet pork dumplings. Be warned, when it's busy, the service is not great (understandably). Excellent service when it's not jam packed, though!
We recently visited Sammi Soupe Dumpling & were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food. The dumplings were amazing-particularly the classic pork & pork coriander. The quality is exceptional for the price, which we found to be very reasonable. However, the service left something to be desired. Despite the restaurant not being busy, we experienced a lack of attention from the staff. They were barely at our table & the service was quite slow. Additionally, we were disappointed that they didn't offer take-out cups for the tea. Overall, a great place for dumplings but the service could use some improvement.
Brand new location, clean & modern. The quality of food is the same as downtown Montreal. The staff is super friendly. We love & recommend the Classic Juicy Pork, & the Pork, Shrimp & Scallop steamed dumplings. For fried dumplings, we love the Pork & Cabbage or Shrimp & Cabbage. We tried the special with Sea Urchin, but the flavor of the Sea Urchin in the dumpling was not outstanding for us.
Really great soup dumplings & fried dumplings. My favourites are the lamb & coriander & the pork, shrimp & scallop! The classic pork is always a great option too. Been here a couple of times & the service has always been extremely slow. You really need to flag a waiter or walk up to the front to get your order. Would come here more often if the service improves. Food is excellent though!
If you're a dumpling enthusiast like myself, you'll find Sammi Dumpling to be a hidden gem worth uncovering. Nestled in dix30, this cozy spot offers an authentic taste of culinary craftsmanship that will have your taste buds dancing with joy. Upon entering, you're greeted with a warm ambiance that immediately sets the tone for a delightful dining experience. The decor is minimalist yet inviting, allowing the focus to remain squarely on the star of the show: the dumplings. Let's talk about the dumplings - they're nothing short of exceptional. Each one is meticulously crafted with care & expertise, resulting in a burst of flavor with every bite. Whether you prefer traditional pork & chive, succulent chicken, or adventurous vegetarian options, there's something on the menu to satisfy every palate. However compared to the others location, the siu long bao was lacking soup compared to the traditional soupy siu long bao. But it's not just the dumplings that shine. The menu boasts a variety of delectable sides & appetizers that complement the main event perfectly. I preferred personally the pan fried dumpling versus the siu long bao. The service here is medium as well. The staff is friendly, attentive, & more than happy to offer recommendations for those unfamiliar with the menu. However we waited for the siu long bao for almost over 20 minutes while we received our other dishes super quick. It creates a hole & stall time way too long. In terms of value, Sammi dumpling offers reasonable prices for the quality of food & service you receive. You'll leave feeling satisfied both in terms of your appetite & your wallet. In conclusion, Sammi dumpling is a must-visit destination for any dumpling aficionado. With its cozy atmosphere, exceptional food, & impeccable service, it's sure to become a favorite spot for locals & visitors alike. Make sure to add it to the top of your dining bucket list - you won't be disappointed.
Their premium pork xiao long bao was amazing. They were soupy, the meat was tender & they had great flavours. I do find the dumplings expensive though. Close to 15$ for 5 of those premium dumplings so I'm not so sure it was really worth it. The other options are around 15$ for 10 xiao long bao or 15 pan fried dumplings. They do offer a wide variety of options that are pretty basic & pretty decent. I also tried their chocolate xiao long bao because it was really intriguing but it ended up being just like a hot chocolate inside the wrap of the xiao long bao which I find not that compatible. Plus, it was 5$ for one which was quite expensive in my opinion. The service was friendly but it was a bit slow. It took about 30 minutes for the food to arrive & we had to wait quite some time before we could call someone to order. To be fair, they were quite busy also though.
