We had breakfast here during our trip to Montreal & absolutely loved it! The food was authentic, fresh & full of flavour - it honestly reminded me of being back in Colombia. Everything we ordered was delicious, & the portions were very generous.
A special mention has to go to the plátano maduro con queso. The flavour of the plantain was amazing, & I really appreciated that it was made with cuajada cheese rather than mozzarella. It made all the difference & was absolutely delicious! 😋
The supermarket is also fantastic, with an excellent selection of Colombian & Latin American products. Whether you're looking for snacks, ingredients or drinks from home, you'll probably find them here.
The only suggestion I'd make is to consider offering table service rather than having guests queue to order, especially when the restaurant is busy. I think it would make the experience even better.
Overall, a fantastic spot that I'd happily recommend to anyone looking for authentic Colombian food & a great Latin American grocery store in Montreal. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the city!
Great staff but, taking away two stars because, they offer baked good, but their croissants are havent been fresh or available in the morning 3 times out of the 4 times I visited. I find it unacceptable that yesterday's baked goods are resold the next day when they are clearly not fresh anymore. I'll visit again in a month & modify my review if they start offering fresh baked good at 9-9:30a.m.
Thank God for Sabor Latino sustaining any semblance of a soul in this neighborhood which has become 80% matcha latte (oatmilk of course) & 20% old neighborhood stores whose owners are about to retire. Mostly Latin American grocery stuffs with some surprising Mediterranean & Asian finds, always perfect & unblemished avocados, kind staff. You can get a tortilla press & a pinata next to Portuguese soap that smells like grandma's bra drawer (compliment). If you ever are into some high end imported alfajores, they have it too. The adjacent takeout counter is also great & fed me many many times. Mmm fresh chicharron
If you crave authentic Latin American flavors in Montreal, Sabor Latino on St-Laurent Blvd is an absolute must-visit! This vibrant spot perfectly blends a Latin grocery store, bakery, butcher, & restaurant all under one roof, making it a true one-stop shop for all things Latino.
Their pupusas are hands down some of the best in town-fresh, perfectly stuffed, & bursting with flavor. & if you're a taco lover, don't miss their tacos, which many locals rave about as some of the most authentic & tasty you'll find in Montreal. From Colombian empanadas to Mexican tamales & arepas, every dish is made with care & genuine Latin passion.
The atmosphere is casual & welcoming, with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. Prices are reasonable, portions generous, & the quality is consistently excellent. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite, stocking up on Latin groceries, or craving a comforting homemade meal, Sabor Latino delivers an unbeatable taste of Latin America right in the heart of the city.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to spice up their culinary adventures with real Latin flavor! 🌮🌯🥟🔥🇨🇴🇲🇽
Sabor Latino is an absolute hidden gem. Whether you're craving tender, flavourful beef tongue, fresh & succulent arepas, or tacos with perfectly seasoned meats, this place delivers every time. The cafeteria-style setup gives it a casual charm, & just steps away, their connected grocery store is a treasure trove of Latin American essentials, from fresh fruit pulps to specialty vegetables. The butcher is top-notch & fairly priced. To top it all off, the staff is nothing but smiles & good vibes. When in doubt, don't overthink it, head straight to Sabor Latino.
Very good Latino food , homemade & good variety. Fresh & delicious. Of note, this place is an Annexation of the grocery store next door, so the the atmosphere is very crowded & very basic overall.
Great selection of items, & fresh tasty food from the market restaurant
