Sabor Latino is a family business that was founded in 1984. It is the best known Latin-American grocery store in all the Greater Montreal and surroundings. Our commitment is to provide to our customers a great variety of the most important hispanic products from Mexico to Argentina. They can fulfill their culinary needs by purchasing all the ingredients and foods in our store for their special recipes. Thanks to our loyal customers, Sabor Latino has been able to maintain an important player in our Montreal/Latin-American community. Starting with one, and now, 2 locations in Montreal.
Sabor Latino offers a broad range of Latin American groceries and a casual on-site cafe, with a large and varied selection that helps cooks stock authentic ingredients; reviews highlight friendly and helpful staff and good value for many products, while a few items such as empanadas and pupusas show mixed quality and some shoppers note prices can be high or the space feels aged; the restaurant counter serves simple, hearty dishes that capture familiar Latin flavors, and the overall impression is that Sabor Latino is a convenient hub to reconnect with roots and enjoy a comfortable market-and-dine experience.
This place was really cool, had just about everything u need, the restaurant side was super cool, staff was friendly, i didnt really like the order line cuz i saw how people just butted in without waiting but beside that it was nice to have a homemade meal out in the city
I went in today (Apr. 26) & bought a kilo of cecina (salted beef). I even chatted with the butcher telling him it was for a bbq & he assured me it was fresh. When I get home & open it, it's slimy, discoloured & smells of rotten eggs. Almost 40$ of meat to the trash.
Will not be shopping there again; I would suggest avoiding for fresh produce & meats.

Be careful !! I ate there, bought a meal (pork) with a very particular smell but I was hungry & I didn't want it to be wasted. My biggest mistake. I got bad digestion for 2 weeks after that. My friend couldn't eat it, she was fine.
The tamal wasn't good either, like old & preserved for long time. So, no, no fresh food in that place.
