Absolutely loved this place. The sushi is insanely fresh & beautifully crafted-every bite is next level. The staff are super welcoming, attentive, & make you feel taken care of from start to finish. The vibe is perfect too-stylish, energetic, but still relaxed enough to actually enjoy your time. Highly, highly recommend-definitely one of my favorite spots.
10/10 wow. It was my first time at RYU & it absolutely lived up to the hype. I'd only ever heard great things, & it somehow still exceeded my expectations.
The sushi was incredible, easily some of the best I've had in Montreal. The watermelon margarita? *Chef's kiss* & Charlie made the whole experience even better with amazing, attentive service.
Highly recommend, I'll definitely be back. ❤?

I had a reservation at RYU this past Saturday night. I went with my wife & three other couples, we're visiting from NYC & everything from start to finish exceeded expectations.
The fish was some of the freshest I've had in a long time-every dish was beautifully prepared & full of flavor. They definitely prioritize quality ingredients.
The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, professional, & made the entire evening feel seamless & enjoyable, their drinks are excellent-definitely worth trying a few.
If you're looking for a place in Montreal with a great atmosphere, outstanding food, & top-tier service, I highly recommend Ryu.
I had an amazing night in Montreal! Isadora & the entire staff were exceptional-their warmth & attentiveness made the evening truly special. The food quality & service were both top-notch. I especially enjoyed the creative flavors & choices prepared just for me. I had an exceptional New Year's Eve experience at Ryu a couple nights ago! This restaurant was recommended by a number of different people & I have to admit, their sushi was hands down the best I've had in Montreal. I wish I took pics! The service was equally outstanding; the staff were so so friendly, & ensured every detail was perfect. Highly recommend Ryu, particularly the Griffintown location one! It's supposed to be fine dining My boyfriend came here twice but it probably be our last time as well. Well at least we give chances to try. The bill was over 200$ Pro : The ambiance were great ! Very chic & stylish. We were outside at the terrace, highly recommend. Music was nice & cool. Cons : Staffs : very chic but not that friendly & honestly quite erogan. Food : Ordinary , quality doesn't meet expectations for the price. I am not sure if it was our luck or the food was really ordinary & quite disappointing. We don't mind the price if the food is good quality O-Toro 25 $ for 2 pcs. One of the sashimi piece was very chewy. At this price, I expect a good piece of fish that can be eaten the whole piece not just partially. I had better quality & price somewhere else. Scallop nigiri was just ok. The rice was just ok, the scallops were fresh. Salmon & tuna Tartare It was a good looking presentation dish, however the taste was nothing special. Scallop truffles roll 23$ I had a piece of something like a hard crum of quinoa ( maybe ) stuck in my tooth first bite of sushi. Besides that it was ok. Surf & turf roll was very DISAPPOINTING !! for 39$ , the Wagyu beef on the top part were VERY CHEWY ! I was surprised & wondered if that was the style of beef or it was just a mistake ? We ended up taking off the prices of wagyu , the rolls still very ordinary. White wine was ok for 19$ for very ordinary wine. Overall you pay for the cool ambience not the food. for that price range doesn't meet our expectations for food quality at all.
We had an amazing experience! Our server, Yuri, was fantastic-attentive & friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, & the fish was incredibly fresh. Definitely try the short ribs. Portions are small, just be prepared to pay $100+ per person. Highly recommended!
