We arrived soon after the restaurant opened, had the restaurant to myself for a very short time. Unless you are a lucky person, make a reservation. Even the bar-seats filled up before 7. Friendly staff & amazing kitchen. I saw small groups & full families enjoying their cuisine. The bar works great & their lists include non-alcoholic to cocktails. The use of spices is balanced for any & all tastes. Bravo.
Great food here only downside is we had to only eat vegetarian as the meat is unfortunately halal. As a Sikh family we strictly cannot eat halal meat or any sacrificial meat. Wish we could've considering how good the vegetarian food was.
My friend & I recently visited Rutba, & we had an absolutely amazing dining experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding, every dish was packed with flavour & beautifully prepared.
We started with the Samosa Chaat, which was the perfect balance of crispy, tangy, & savoury flavours. For our mains, we ordered the Lamb Biryani & Chicken Tikka, both of which were exceptional. The lamb biryani was aromatic, rich, & perfectly seasoned, while the chicken tikka was tender, juicy, & full of smoky flavour. We also enjoyed the Butter Naan, which was fresh, soft, & the perfect accompaniment to our meal.
What truly elevated our experience was the service. Sravani was incredibly warm, welcoming, & attentive throughout our visit. She worked efficiently despite being busy, made us feel genuinely cared for, & provided excellent recommendations that helped us choose some of our favourite dishes of the evening. Her friendly personality & professionalism added so much to the overall experience.
Between the delicious food, inviting atmosphere, & exceptional service, Rutba exceeded our expectations. We left completely satisfied & hiiiighly recommend to anyone looking for authentic, flavourful food & outstanding hospitality :)

Quelle magnifique découverte sur le boulevard Saint-Laurent. Nous avons passé une soirée mémorable avec des plats savoureux présentés dans de superbes petits chaudrons en métal.
Le naan aux herbes était tout simplement délicieux & parfaitement cuit. Chaque bouchée était un pur bonheur pour les papilles. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter pour explorer le reste de la carte.
Fav Indian res in Montreal! Simran was so awesome. She let us have a great experience at the restaurant with amazing recommendations & service. 11/10 would go again. Food was top notch. We got the samosa chaat, kofta, paneer, garlic naan, & lachha parantha. All incredible. Can't wait to go back. Music was amazing. The lighting was awesome. We loved the overall experience.
The service was warm & attentive, & the atmosphere made the whole experience even better. Easily one of the best Indian restaurants I've visited. Highly recommended! Sim the waiter was amazing.
