We're visiting Montreal & staying nearby. We happened to pop in on Rufus & Anna's 5th day in business to get a drink before our dinner reservations elsewhere. I had what I believe to be the best cocktail of my life - the Guatemala, which tastes like pineapple + chocolate (sounds awful but tastes amazing!) We enjoyed the drinks, the enthusiastic staff (& owner) & the ambiance so much we vowed to come back when we didn't have a reservation somewhere else. So we did & had an amazing dinner there tonight! Toasted bread with soft herb butter was amazing, meaty wings to start. Then the best club sandwich he's ever had (without the standard fois gras mayo, which would probably make it even tastier) & delicious spare ribs for me. The owner brought us out a special dessert that I don't believe is on the menu yet - sugar pie! What the..?!? Best meal we've had in Montreal!

Le personnel est très gentil & c'est un très bel endroit. J'ai cependant trouvé la nourriture très chère. 18$ l'entrée pour quelques tranches de truite & 28$ pour une bavette qui vient sans accompagnement… je trouve ça dommage.

L'ambiance était vraiment agréable. Nous avons pris deux entrées & deux verres de vin. La facture de 85$ nous a paru élevée pour ce que nous avions comme quantité dans nos assiettes. Les verres de vin ne sont pas la top qualité, mais c'était ok pour l'apéro. Nous avions choisi deux vins au verre sur la carte qui n'étaient plus disponibles. Peut-être mentionné les vins disponibles à l'arrivé si ce n'est pas comme sur le menu? La nourriture était excellente toutefois & le service attentionné. Nous avons par contre été déçu de constater que le pourboire était chargé après la taxe ce qui est maintenant illégal. Pour cette simple raison, nous ne sommes pas certain d'y retourner & de recommander l'endroit. Nous n'avons pas trop confiance.
