Thierry Kobloth, entrepreneur and passionate winemaker!Thierry Kobloth, the owner of Vignoble Kobloth, was born in Alsace in 1970. His family has been engaged in the exciting profession of winemaking for four generations. After earning his certification as a chef in the 1980s, Thierry worked as a chef in several renowned hotels in Switzerland and southern France, where tourism and gastronomy thrive. In 1994, always seeking new challenges, he decided to leave France to explore new horizons and unleash his entrepreneurial spirit. Captivated by Quebec, Thierry founded a popular restaurant in Old Montreal, which he ran for 10 years. The success of his culinary career allowed him to pursue his lifelong dream—dedicating himself to the passion of his ancestors: viticulture.

In 2004, Thierry sold his restaurant to focus on winemaking. He purchased a beautiful 100-acre property in Saint-Bruno de Montarville, a perfect blend of city and countryside. With the help of his father, Thierry planted approximately 10,000 vines by hand, including 6,000 white grapevines (Vidal, Seyval, and Muscat de NY) and 4,000 red grapevines (Lucie Kollman, Maréchal Foch, Baco Noir, De Chenacet, and Frontenac). The first harvest took place in 2007, and today, the products are bottled and sold at the Vignoble Kobloth boutique at 905 Grand Boulevard Ouest, Saint-Bruno de Montarville.

Review Summary

Ross Stall - Brasserie offers a very nice setting and atmosphere, with fast service despite a busy crowd. The Alsatian dishes are described as good overall. Beers are mostly undrinkable, though some are considered passable. The terrace is pretty and ideal for enjoying the autumn weather. Food quality appears inconsistent, with some dishes described as really bad and items like rib poutine with frozen fries criticized, while one comment praises the rib poutine as sublime. The place shows a lot of potential but seems underutilized overall. Excellent service and professionalism are acknowledged.
