It has good variety of sliced pizza. But felt overpriced for one small slice. Furthermore, they keep it ready & warm up & serve which I was not a fan off.
I'm a serious pizza enthusiast & have tried some of the best pizza places from Montreal to New York to Italy even Michelin guide pizzeria around the world. They present themselves as a high-quality pizzeria using high-quality ingredients, but unfortunately, my experience did not consistentlv reflect those claims.
Unfortunately, I found the quality very inconsistent. Some of the pizzas were good, but definitely not all of them. For this style of pizza, I've had significantly better experiences at places like Segreta, Welldun & Pizza Bouquet. Segreta in particular serves the same pizza al taglio style &, in my experience, is on another level when it comes to ingredient quality, cheese, flavour, overall execution & even service.
Some of the cheese & other ingredients here tasted noticeably lower quality than what I would expect from a top-tier pizzeria. More importantly, I was given information in person about an ingredient that did not match what I was actually served. That lack of transparency seriously affected my trust in the restaurant.
The service was another disappointment. It wasn't particularly welcoming & lacked the warmth & hospitality I normally experience at other top pizza spots.
The portion size & value are also difficult to justify. The slices are very small compared with a slice of pizza al taglio at Segreta or Welldun or other top pizza places, while being in a similar price range & lower quality & taste. In my experience, the taste, ingredient quality, portion size & service simply didn't match what I would expect at these prices especially for what they claim.
The biggest surprise was the takeout pricing. At the time of my visit, I could order a Mozz pizza for takeout through their website for around $19 + tax, but when I tried ordering a full Mozz pizza for takeout directly inside the restaurant, I was quoted around $35 + tax. That is an enormous difference for what appeared to be the same takeout order. I hope they fix this pricing discrepancy soon, because customers ordering in person should not end up paying dramatically more simply because they didn't order through the website.
The price itself isn't really my issue. I'm happy to pay more for exceptional pizza. My issue is the inconsistency in both taste & ingredient quality. Some pizzas were genuinely very good, while others were disappointing, & some of the ingredients simply didn't feel worthy of a top-tier pizzeria. At this level, I expect exceptional pizza made with exceptional ingredients, including extra-virgin olive oil rather than seed oils & a focus on high-quality, without processed ingredients. That is the standard I've experienced at many of the top pizza places I've tried, from New York to Italy, & unfortunately my experience here did not consistently meet that standard.
Very vibey little pizza place. I made a mistake & ordered a pizza that I had thought was meatless (totally my fault, I dont know Italian meat names & I didnt ask 😅) & they gave me a new one for free when I realized. Both the pizza I took an accidental bite out of & the new slice they gave me were extremely tasty. Great service, friendly staff, & delicious pizza!
Stumbled upon this gem on a thundershowery Sunday afternoon stroll. Light, fresh & very delicious Roman style pizzas where if you have a buddy, you can try atleast 3 types of slices without feeling like you've had too much.
