Could not wait for them to open finally in Laval & I'm not disappointed. Food has been good for years. Just a little constructive feedback some piece of chicken sometimes are very dry/not eatable (rare) but it happens. Since they opened I came almost everyday! The quality never change since Montreal & I've been going there since the 2010's when my parents brought me as a kid.
Je suis une fidèle de Romados Montréal depuis plusieurs années. À Laval, il n'y a que le nom qui est pareil. Très déçue. Poulet peu grillé, sec , peu cuit, riz sec & trop tomsté ce qui n'est pas du riz portugais. La salade est bonne , mais la sauce n'est pas la même. Je crois que c'est juste la même chose que dans le temps de pâtisserie Lajeunese. Je vous souhaite bonne chance quand même.

First time today . I had a Bifana sandwich with fries & a nata . The sandwich & fries were amazing . So tasty just perfect & the nata is what we were missing in Laval . Done the old way …..
Absolutely loved this place! The food was outstanding, & the staff & owner went above & beyond to make us feel welcome. We'll definitely be back. Thank you from FC laval U12F
Purchased a family combo, chicken was very very dry, french fries were lacking the spice they use, the rice was also super dry, salad was disappointing
Je suis une habituée de Rachel, j'étais donc heureuse d'avoir enfin une succursale proche de la maison! Le poulet n'est pas comparable, sec, sans goût sauf lorsqu'il y a la sauce, service non chaleureux & ambiance entre employés semble tendue. Je souhaite que des ajustements soient fait pour le futur car pour le moment, je n'ai pas envie de retourner à la succursale de Laval mais je vais sans hésiter retourner sur Rachel.
Overall the food was just okay. The potatoes needed more salt & calda. When you order a bifana sandwich one would like more that one slice of meat in it (FYI, for a really good bifana sandwich, you must use the porc shoulder & not the loin,,,very dry)
The food is not like Romados on Rachel. It's good but it still tastes like Lajeunesse did.
Since this is supposed to be a second Romados location I will rate this meal compared to the original.
I drive downtown just to eat it in my car because it's amazing. I was there that night they re-opened. I am a longtime regular. There is this amazing taste from the food downtown location.
We also used to be regulars at Lajeunesse , the previous operation. We went there when we were stuck, it was not based on urges.
So please let me explain, the chicken still smells like how Lajeunesse did, it still has that burnt spot since they are not using the same equipment for the chicken as the downtown location, the fries are not as crispy & tasty as the ones downtown. The Natas when we got home were still thawing (from being frozen) & colder than my drink, but they were ok, not as creamy as downtown.
The salad was good but the dressing containers are small. The meal box was full but not overloaded like downtown.
If you take a Harvey's franchise change the sign & call it McDonald's but still make the food Harvey's style. It's still Harvey's with McDonald's packaging.
This review is not meant to be nasty, it's meant for you to make sure you fix things so I don't have to go downtown to eat Romados.
As it is now my urges won't be satisfied with the food at the Laval location & I will still have to drive all the way downtown.
I waited to write this review, I did not want to upset that 5.0 average rating, but after having the leftovers & getting unsatisfied again, I even had to add ketchup to these tasteless fries.
Please use my points to make things like downtown & in 2 months we will try you again, revise the rating & hopefully it will be 5 star.
