Review Summary

Restaurant Yogi is widely regarded as a staple in the neighborhood, consistently praised for its delicious and comforting Indian cuisine, particularly the naan, butter chicken, and various vegetarian or vegan options. Many patrons highlight the exceptional service, describing the staff as friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which enhances the overall dining experience. While the majority of feedback is glowing regarding the flavor and value, some diners have noted occasional issues with parking availability and the need for maintenance in the restroom facilities. Despite these minor physical limitations, the genuine care from the kitchen and the hospitable team make it a favored destination for those seeking high-quality, flavorful meals in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Since this restaurant first opened several years ago, I have been eating here fairly regularly. It is the only Indian restaurant in the area &, thankfully, the chef prepare each of the dishes on the menu with great care. The food is as good as any I've tasted in Montreal & better than most. I'm not alone in my opinion. The place is generally full with many repeat patrons.

So disappointed. We got such a big order on uber eats. We got the garlic naan (extremely doughy & cold) Dahl was the best thing, butter chicken was cold & super sweet, chicken korma was also very cold & super sweet. The paneer pakora was also very cold & bland. The chicken biriani was good (the only thing with any spice) Everything was very cold & sweet. When you get indian food, especially after spending over 100$, you'd at least expect some hot food. But it was the worst indian food I've even had. I grew up eating indian food, I know good indian food. Extremely disappointed. You would at the very least expect at least mild spice. If you're going to serve sweet dishes, say that they're sweet. We had to microwave it & put a ton of hot sauce & soya sauce in it to'try' to take the sweetness away.

The food was ok, but on one occasion, a server attempted to keep part of the change from a bill for themselves (or possibly, for the restaurant owner?). The owner, frankly, seems privy to this, as his reaction later was nonchalant, like he fully expected a customer complaint. If you go there, be wary about paying with cash, otherwise your dinner might end up costing you double what you expected to pay.

We had the perfect dinner after a long time in Montreal! Everything was delicious! You can have better Indian food than what you find in Brampton, Ontario! The owner Shubham, & the staff were geniune & friendly. Shubham even went out of his way to help us with the car parking. Truly amazing experience. A must visit place! We'll definitely be back! Thank you Shubham! :)
