?Visited Yogi for the first time with the family. It's a small restaurant, & while there were some positive aspects, a few major pain points keep it from being a 4 or 5-star experience.
?The Good
?The Service: The servers were fantastic-incredibly polite, cheerful, & always ready to help with a smile.
?The Prices: Price-wise, the restaurant is totally fine & very reasonable for a family meal.
?The Food
?We ordered chicken, butter naan, garlic naan, dal, & a salad. Overall, the food was just okay. Everything tasted decent, but it wasn't spectacular enough to warrant a top-tier rating. It gets a solid average mark for flavor.
?The Issues (Where it fell short)
?Parking is a Nightmare: Parking here is a very, very serious concern. We absolutely could not find a spot near the restaurant. We actually had to drive away & park the car far down by a grocery store near the Metro station, then walk over. If you are driving, be prepared for a major hassle.
?Washroom Needs Urgent Help: The bathroom seriously needs a major renovation or, at the very least, a deep clean. The maintenance is lacking-even the sink tap was completely loose & moving around so much it felt like it was going to come off right in your hand.
?Verdict: It's a decent, budget-friendly spot with lovely staff if you are looking for an okay meal, but the severe lack of parking & the state of the washroom mean we can't give it more than 3 stars.
So disappointed. We got such a big order on uber eats. We got the garlic naan (extremely doughy & cold) Dahl was the best thing, butter chicken was cold & super sweet, chicken korma was also very cold & super sweet. The paneer pakora was also very cold & bland. The chicken biriani was good (the only thing with any spice) Everything was very cold & sweet. When you get indian food, especially after spending over 100$, you'd at least expect some hot food. But it was the worst indian food I've even had. I grew up eating indian food, I know good indian food. Extremely disappointed. You would at the very least expect at least mild spice. If you're going to serve sweet dishes, say that they're sweet. We had to microwave it & put a ton of hot sauce & soya sauce in it to'try' to take the sweetness away.
We ordered a lot of food from this restaurant on DoorDash. The butter chicken, naan, & samosas. It was all positively amazing. The butter chicken wasn't heavy like at other places. The samosas are the best me & my wife have ever had. The naan are fresh & very flavorful. If you're thinking about ordering Indian food tonight. Order from here. You will not be disappointed. It was truly such an amazing meal.
Being south asian, i'm used to eating these type of dishes. Sadly this restaurant, despite the good reviews, did not satisfy my tastebuds. The chickpeas in the channa samosas were cold & uncooked, the dahi puri was filled with too much sauce. The curries were ok... The naans were good & fresh.
This was an amazing 🤩 find near to pie-IX station. The lady who was serving was so kind & cordial she ensured we got what we ordered, all kudos to her! , would want her to serve us again. The kadhai paneer & naan were so yum 😋 🤤 . So was the tandoori paneer tikka with the level of spice that we wanted. I'd recommend this place for everyone who wants to have their taste buds tested for an indian cuisine. Love ❤? this place
We went to celebrate a friend's birthday & everything was absolutely delicious. We had Butter Chicken, Chicken Chettinad, & Curry, & wow-absolutely delicious! Every dish was full of flavor, & the garlic naan was among the best we've ever had.
But beyond the food, what I truly want to highlight is the staff. Our waiter was incredibly kind, attentive, & accommodating. During the evening, our friend gave my boyfriend over $100 to buy something, & while we were busy caring for our baby, we accidentally left the money under a plate. When we realized & called back-almost certain the money was lost-we were amazed to hear they had found it & kept it safe for us.
That level of honesty is rare these days & speaks volumes about the integrity of the people working there. We left not only delighted with the food, but also deeply grateful for the entire experience.
We'll definitely be coming back again & again
Great tasty food, very reasonably priced. My husband, daughter, & I all had Thalis. They had a late lunch special that went until 4 pm. It was our first time eating here. Many of the dishes are gluten-free (although there is, like many places, a risk of cross-contamination). They were able to substitute the naan with papadums for me.
