Ma conjointe & moi sommes allés en Inde il y a plusieurs années. Depuis notre voyage, nous avons fait plusieurs restos indiens à Montréal. Jusqu'à hier soir, notre restaurant indien préféré était le Namaste Inde à Verdun.

Mais le Virsa vient de lui ravir la première place. Un beau restaurant (souvent les restos indiens ont un décor pour le moins quelconque), des prix raisonnables & des plats au goût incroyable.

En entrée, nous avons pris les oignons Bhaji. Souvent un plat réchauffé. Pas chez Virsa. Les oignons avaient été faits au moment de notre commande & la friture fondait sous la bouche. Comme plat principal, Shahi Paneer (très bon, surprenamment épicé - normalement doux), Agneau au gingembre (excellent) & un dal punjabi (bien relevé).

Facture un peu plus élevé que la moyenne des restos indiens mais reste à un niveau raisonnable.

Nous retournerons sans l'ombre d'un doute. Ce resto vaut le détour au nord de la ville.

Excellent restaurant. Would definitely recommend! You will not be disappointed. Sakchi was our waitress & she was exceptional. We have tried a few other Indian restaurants & this is by far the best! We were really impressed & we will definitely be going back. Chicken Tiki Masala & Butter chicken was amazing & the Nan bread was to die for! Enjoy!

Excellent authentic Indian restaurant in Montreal! Really nice north Indian food! We had dahi puri which was mildly sweet. Kadhai Paneer & Malai Kofta was really good. You can ask them to make it Indian spicy if you want, & they will happily cater to it. Definitely get for the onion kulcha, it's very tasty. Buttery on the outside & soft on the inside with flaky layers. We also had masala salty lassi which was so good our toddler son finished an entire glass. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant on your trip to Montreal.

I would say the restaurant isn't as clean. The bathrooms are a bit dirty & the door corners are dirty & so were the floors, but the food made up for it. The food quality itself was really good, just the interior could use a little clean up.
