We drove all the way from Laval & took us 1 hour specifically to eat at Vedha Restaurant seeing there reviews & pictures on google, & it turned out to be an utter disappointment from start to finish. The service was terribly disorganized-the staff couldn't even manage basic requests like refilling our water glasses, & when we used the washroom, there was no toilet paper or hand paper towels to be found anywhere. To make matters worse, after taking our order, they came back to tell us that everything would take double the usual time to prepare. When our Chilli Cheese finally arrived, it was drenched in oil & bizarrely sweet, completely missing the mark on flavor. The waitresses working that shift eventually admitted they were severely short-staffed, struggling to manage the floor, & having to turn away several incoming customers. Save your gas money & stay away!

Very disappointing experience. We ordered an uttapam but were told it would take 20-25 minutes, so we switched to a dosa because it was supposed to be faster-but it still took around 35 minutes. We had to remind the staff three times just to re-fill the water bottle, & even a ready-made takeout container took more than 5 minutes.
I noticed two groups leave without ordering due to the poor management. The food was just okay (2/5) (looked good but not tasty), but the service & management were terrible (1/5). Definitely needs major improvement.

We had our dinner here today.
It was delicious & very tasty.
Oil & spices were in required limits.
We enjoyed the very very good service with very polite staff. Lavanya was leading the team. She with her smiling face gave all the attention & pleased us.
It's always nice to have such a gem in the team.
Our best wishes to her for her future endeavours.

Had a really nice experience at Vedha Restaurant. I ordered the vegetarian thali, & the food was delicious & satisfying. The ambience was pleasant, & the staff were very cordial & welcoming. Would definitely recommend giving it a try!

Vedha is the BEST!!! Our friend raved & we went & now it is our favorite Indian spot in Montreal. Generous portions, very reasonable, & super tasty & aromatic & authentic. Fabulous!!!

I tried the onion rava dosa & the plain dosa, & both were really delicious. The onion rava dosa was perfectly crispy & flavorful, while the plain dosa was soft & well-cooked. I really enjoyed the food & had a great experience. Looking forward to trying more dishes next time!
