It was $10 for a big plate of seriously flavourful food & a free sample of the wholesome chicken soup. All the staff are really nice :) they're possibly the only resto open on a Tuesday morning
Very cozy. Legit homemade food & very affordable. All that (& a water bottle) for 28 dollars. Where else can you eat so well in 2025?
Really authentic filipino restaurant!! Affordable (10$ for a dish with meat & rice), generous portion & homey ambiance. Will definitely come back
Stopped by Restaurant Papa after a long bike ride because I was starving-& wow, what a great decision. The food was delicious, fresh, & tasted just like a comforting home-cooked meal. I loved the laid-back vibe: if you're dining in, you eat first, then pay; if it's takeout, you pay upfront-simple & friendly.
The portions are super generous, especially the meat-definitely enough for two people's or perfect to save half for a cozy movie night later. Everything tasted clean & homemade.
& just when I thought lunch couldn't get any better-I ended it with their Etat dessert drink. Light, colorful, & full of surprises, it was the perfect sweet finish after a hearty, home-style meal. Highly recommend saving room for this one!
The best places to eat.. Friendly service & tasty food.. 👍👍👍
Nice authentic Filipino home-style buffet
Nice home made food & price soup, rice plus 2 meat or different toppings+ soda
The best Crispy Pata. Crispy skin, juicy & tender meat. Good food.
My meal was phenomenal The service was friendly & quick. I had the 2 dish meal adobo & collard greens & sweet sticky rice in banana leaf for dessert. I will definitly come eat here again
It's best to order from there ! The porc leg is the best on the menu !
I don't have any photos that execute written facts ... however, I was in a sham after being told to visit & order from this restaurant. In truth the dishes I tasted were too bland for my palette. Their pricing per dish is superb. In addition the amount of food given is enormous by restaurant standards. For me I feel where they fell short is the flavoring wow-factor. Mind y'all, I have a West Indies up growing where dishes are seasoned to perfection. I felt challenged to taste because a person from the Phil's said they are good. Now I disagree. I believe this restaurant can be a landmark of delicious dishes 1- if they can take positive criticism & invest in renovations. I don't think the person serving me should have had a beard every so long while hovering over the displayed dishes. I guarantee you I will go back to this restaurant some time soon.
If you want the authentic & affordable Filipino cuisine, restaurant papas is the place to be! It is my favorite filipino restaurant here in Montreal. The serving is huge, staff are super nice & funny & the atmosphere gives a carinderia & turo turo vibes from home! Everything is delish & my favorites are liempo, pata, pakbet, laing, fried fish, humba, papaitan & many more.
