We had a supremely relaxed yet gastronomically stimulating dinner at Restaurant Normal.

While staying nearby at the Manoir Stonehaven, which has its own top-flight restaurant, we thought we'd steal a night away from that convenience of in-house dining to try this little restaurant with amazing reviews.

It was a good move as Restaurant Normal exceeded expectations.

Great little menu that changes almost every day, along with an extensive wine list with a deep selection of very interesting wines - including an excellent starter wine'on tap' from a Quebec vineyard.

Our server, Danny, was enthusiastic & extremely knowledgeable about the food & wine pairings. Outside of him being seamlessly bilingual, he was very genuinely friendly - not the false smiley tip-seeking type.

A great foodie focal for Sainte Agathe des Monts.

PS: 4 stars only on the decor as it was extremely eclectic; we liked it, others may not as much. Small point.

Mon conjoint & moi sommes venus pour souper un vendredi soir. Wow, l'accueil & le service super. Les drinks oh yeah! Mon conjoint a même servi de cobaye pour un drink. La nourriture, OH MY GOD! Un des meilleurs resto où nous avons mangé. Je recommande ce resto sans hésitation.

Sublime. We had lunch here on a snowy Saturday, enveloped in one of the cozy window booths. The fried chicken burger, seasoned cauliflower, mushroom tartine & ceviche were all creative & delicious, service & vibe are friendly & welcoming. There was a surprisingly wide selection of options for lunch & while a bit of a splurge, more than worth it for such well prepared plates & enjoyable experience. Great & really reasonably priced local wine & beer by the glass doesn't hurt either. We are already looking forward to going back.

Nous avons été au Restaurant normal pour la 1ere fois & trouvons qu'il porte bien son nom. Tout d'abord, je trouve que le décor manque vraiment d'ambiance chaleureuse. Il faisait très froid, pas assez de chauffage . Certains plats etaients bons comme la pétoncle & le cerf, certains étaient ordinaires comme la salade de canard, les legumes sautés & la saucisse ( tellement cher pour une seule saucisse qui etait super sèche en plus!!), mais dans tous les cas, pas assez gouteux pour justifier les prix! Le point fort était le service, super serveur sympathique & motivé. Expérience culinaire qui n'était pas à la hauteur de la facture salée. Bref, nous n'y retournerons pas.
