Review Summary

Reviews for Restaurant Lima 14 are highly polarized, reflecting a range of experiences regarding food quality and service. Many patrons praise the authentic flavors, highlighting the ceviche, cocktails, and welcoming atmosphere as standout features that provide a genuine Peruvian culinary experience. Conversely, several guests express disappointment with specific dishes, noting issues such as dry meat, inconsistent portion sizes, long wait times, and a perceived lack of value for the price.

The food was ok. We took oysters acevichado, they were too small for the price, it looked like mini oysters, but the sauce was ok. The maki acevichado had too much mayonnaise flavor, wasn't at all the real acevichado sauce flavor, it had too much rice so it really disappointed me as being a fan of this maki. It's the first restaurant in Montreal that I could find this dish but it doesn't make any justice. The Ceviche Carretillero was good, although the leche de tigre tasted like for a tiradito de ají amarillo rather than the original ceviche but it was good. However the texture of the fish was a bit hard, so I guess it was frozen fish which I don't mind but worth mention. Finally, the Maracuyá juice was good, hard to miss that.

The service wasn't bad, however wasn't very helpful to describe or explain some dishes. I know we are not in Peru but I've been on other peruvian restaurants & they explained you better & are more helpful.

Way too overpriced for what it is. I ordered the Jalea acevichada, there were 4 small shrimps, 4 small pieces of fish & the rest were all small calamari rings. It tasted very good, but it doesn't justify the price, definitely not worth 33$

Way too expensive, the pulpo entré was very good, but very small portion for the price, the ají de gallina crocante was also delicious, however the fried calamari were overcooked so it was very chewy.
The pisco sour was delicious!
We ordered a dessert, they were fried donuts made of sweet potatoe & had anis seeds with a fig syrup, it wasn't good at all.
We only had 1 drink each & shared 3 entres & the dessert & paid over 50$
