Review Summary

Reviews of Restaurant L'Escape describe very comfortable seating and a friendly waiter who used videos and photos to help select dishes, a welcoming, clean space that opens on time, and a dining experience that felt like a cherry on top of a trip. The food is praised as amazing, flavorful and authentic Nigerian fare, with dishes like Ogbono Soup, Bitterleaf Soup and Seafood Okra that are well seasoned and not overly salty or spicy. The atmosphere, including good music and a cozy vibe, contributes to the positive impression, and many say they would return and recommend the place. Some observations note that the seafood okro is tasty but the crab and shrimp portions are small for the price, and there is a sense of discovering Nigerian cuisine rather than Cameroon when visiting.

I brought my parents up to Montreal for a visit & this restaurant was cherry on top of the trip! The food was amazing, the service was exceptional. Very cordial, very welcoming. Very clean environment & the venue OPENED ON TIME!

We had the Ogbono Soup, Bitterleaf Soup & Seafood Okra. All well seasoned, not salty, not too spicy. Very flavorful, authentic Nigerian food.

Will definitely come back any time I'm in town!

I like this restaurant very much. It is my first time to eat African food. It is very suitable for my Chinese stomach. I especially recommend beef suya & fried plantain. If you like spicy food, you can try goat soup, tastes good. Fufu is also very unique, my husband likes it. The environment is very relaxing & perfect for hanging out with friends. Service is very nice.
