Le Richmond proposes a refined cuisine from Northern Italy with Piedmontese, Venetian and Emilia-Romagna influences that accentuate the freshness of the ingredients. The restaurant’s polished menu features and is designed around local and regional products. With freshness front and centre, the selection showcases seasonal foods as well as cherished products that have been privately imported from small producers in Italy.
Occupying an industrial space that dates back to the 1800s, Le Richmond also offers an enticing ambiance in a decor that marries the building’s original materials with more contemporary finishes. With indoor seating for 140 plus another 70 in the inner courtyard, Le Richmond is by far the largest restaurant in Griffintown.
Le Richmond comes across as a stylish yet welcoming venue that suits everything from intimate dinners to weddings and large celebrations. The atmosphere is frequently described as beautiful, elegant yet comfortable with warm lighting and a lively vibe. The menu earns praise for flavor and technique, with standout items such as beef carpaccio, burrata, lobster ravioli, snow crab agnolotti, rib steak, duck breast, and rack of lamb, plus a variety of desserts that impress. The service is often noted as attentive and professional, with guests appreciating thoughtful wine pairings and smooth coordination during events, though a few reviews mention crowded seating on popular nights and occasional slower or uneven service. Le Richmond is repeatedly recommended for regular dining and special occasions alike, seen as a versatile, high quality destination with a strong wedding and private event reputation, striking presentation, and an emphasis on a memorable experience, even if some diners feel value for money can vary depending on the night.
Dined at the bistro tonight. AMAZING service, very accommodating kitchen staff & great food. Just visiting the area but will definitely be back next time I'm in town! Thanks!

It's not the first time I go for brunch (bistrot) or to the restaurant but this time it wasn't the best experience. We waited a lot to have water & the menus & had to go to the bar to ask for them, we waited for the coffees & had to ask for them, the food took a long time to arrive (although the place wasn't full at all) & was cold... we ordered drinks that we had to get at the bar after waiting for a while....
Came tonight with our group for Christmas party. We have been mentioned, that VALET service is included in our email, however be mindful when use valet services there was a white tall guy he told me no its 10$ for the service, after bringing our car. I could feel he was lying he looked on the floor couldn't look at me in the eyes. Overall, inside the waiters & barman lovely service. We just had a salty experience towards the end. For the food (buffet we had Lamb, beef, pesto pasta & salad) food was fine. Dessert was cannoli & cheesecake + creme brule. Everything was good.
We ate at the Bistro & the food was good. We were a group of 18, the menu was a fixed menu, not family style. There was one change on the menu from what we had previously arranged but they accommodated our group to add it to the menu. Overall service was good there were a few disappointments. 1) the bartender did not have a cocktail list. Very surprised by this, over priced fun interesting drinks are part of most restaurants 2) Most of the group drank wine or beer anyway. I asked for an amaro after dinner & the waiter had never heard of the word. I used "digestif" & he understood but was not sure if they had it, they did. 2) the food was OK, not great, if felt like a banquet not a made to order dinner. One of our guests asked for their sirloin to be rare but they were all pre cooked to medium. The servings were not large but adequate. The food we ate was tasty but not unique. The waiter that looked after our table did the best that he could. He worked hard & did his best to satisfy our thirsty crowd. Would I go back? maybe I would try the restaurant with a small group but compared to other group dinners I have arranged, & I have arranged many, this one was just OK.
Toujours une expérience unique & des plus agréable. Nourriture, accueil & service excellent & de qualité. Dans mon top 5 des meilleurs restaurants à Montréal.
