3 Stars!!! Why?
Food was great, but the middleaged lady who took the order was very very rude, & made us feel unwelcomed. To make it worse, she started sweeping floors when we were eating, & we could clearly see dust flying in the air. No concern for the people eating.
The young girl on the other hand was very nice & made us feel welcomed.
Please coach the middle aged lady on how to behave professionally. A smile goes long way.
Loved the food. It's tasty but not too spicy & it's super budget friendly. I have visited multiple times & loved the same each time.
Best restaurant in Montreal for Indian food veg & non veg brunch, lunch dinner, best price best food quality best atmosphere
As an indian & a punjabi, my honest opinion on kuljit's is quite simply lackluster. Their approach to the authencity of the cuisine is that of cutting corners. Now,are the dishes representative of the culture? Somewhat.very vaguely does your palate associate their dhals with the homely taste that is custom across the board. Their non vegetarian dishes have a certain gaminess. this is evident of a lack of proper methodology. The cherry on top, the service is very cold & distant. Not genuine to how things are done in the old country. Overrall, it's an imitation of a punjabi eatery. Why bother when there are so many more better options, a mere stone's throw away.
Excellent Indian Food! Very authentic & very tasty. The owner & his staff are extremely kind.
I fully recommend Kuljit!
Great food, been too many Indian style restaurants, & I think this is my best one. Friendly owners & great food.
Although the decor is basic, it's well worth a visit for the food. Our party of 3 shared Saag Paneer, Channa & Vegetable Biryani & took home leftovers. The service was prompt & friendly. We agreed that there are many more dishes to be ordered on future visits.
I'm a vegetarian & could vouch only for that. We tried, garlic naan, butter naan(which were hard to chew), & being a South Indian, requested spicy curries, but still they were not anywhere being near. Sorry for the harsh review, but the food was not as expected as my friend's recommendation.
Amazing food with Homely punjabi taste. The service is quick & it is pocket friendly
Undoubtedly one of the finest Indian Punjabi dining experiences I have had in this city. This place is a must try. The flavors were absolutely on point, & the quality exceeded expectations. The generous protein portions in each dish are truly commendable. I will most certainly be returning.
Nice, homely cooked India food. Thali is the best & so well priced. Food offered in different spice levels.
Updated comment came back again Coz last time it was too good . & will visit again definitely
Went there with a friend. I had the lamb thali which was very good! The meet was tender & so tasteful.
Highly recommended !
Food & price ok. Service not friendly at all but quick. Pichet to serve water is dirty. Didn't want to drink water. They forgot the rice from my order. Not sure they have French knowledge
