We didn't want to brave line up for Schwartz's & we were so glad that we stopped in. The food was excellent & the portions were quite generous. If you are in the area it might be a key move to skip the line at Schwartz's & get quick friendly service here at Jano. Our meal was less than $20 per person for chicken, salad & a generous serving of fries.

I discovered this restaurant by chance.
I went there with my family, the dishes were very delicious & plentiful, the waiters & the waitresses were available & very kind: one of them also told us an information about the city we had asked at the end of the dinner.
There's nothing to say in addition, I suggest you this restaurant, it's really worth it!

Fue nuestra primera visita a Montreal y nos topamos con Jano, el servicio super amigable, especialmente por parte del dueno, Nelson, quien nos conto sus historias y nos hizo pasar un rato agradable. Muy buen sabor de la comida con porciones generosas. El postre de Natas está delicioso!

Literally the best Portuguese chicken I have ever had. Nelson was the most informative & friendly waiter. Very personable & honest & funny. The sauce for the chicken was delicious, the chicken was really tender & the chip potatoes they give you are great too. A must try. Thank you for a wonderful expensive

Very nice decor & ambiance, & the food was really good. Rich flavours & good meats, the chicken was delicious

I loved how the two young servers who greeted us at the door were very smiley & friendly, although the one who took our order could've been a bit more patient

Overall very pleasant experience I definitely recommend 👌
