About

Restaurant De Chou offers a diverse culinary experience by blending traditional Japanese techniques with bold Korean flavor profiles. The menu features an extensive array of freshly prepared sushi rolls and sashimi alongside hearty, spice-forward Korean classics such as bibimbap and savory stews. Diners interact with a functional, straightforward space designed to prioritize efficient service and the integrity of the ingredients. The kitchen maintains high standards for raw seafood quality while balancing the complex fermentation inherent in authentic Korean side dishes. Each platter emphasizes visual precision and distinct textural contrasts between grilled proteins and crisp, pickled vegetables. This establishment serves as a reliable destination for those seeking a broad spectrum of East Asian comfort foods served with consistent technical execution and professional attention to detail.

Absolutely awesome food! We were a group of 10 who all ordered a bunch of different plates & everything was great! I tried 4 different vegan options & everything was very tasty & well priced. We were very impressed by the chef who clearly has a lot of talent & puts a lot of care into what he cooks.

Amazing authentic food made, cozy & eclectic restaurant, & a stand alone chef. This amazing man serves & cooks all by himself. A little slow, but most definitely worth the weight. So many little knickknacks to look at & mouth watering flavours to eat on a cold or a hot day.

Love this place! Family favourite neighborhood Korean. Have dined here many times & ordered takeout often too. The food never disappoints, efficiently & expertly prepared by the chef-owner who seems to mostly work & serve alone. I particularly love the spicy pork dosirak, although everything is excellent. Quiet, cozy & intimate space, ideal for 2-4 people who wish to converse. Great outdoor space in the summer also.
