Restaurant Cape Cod receives mixed reviews that emphasize fresh seafood, generous portions, and a pleasant waterfront setting with outdoor seating and occasional live music, with lobster rolls, clam chowder and fish and chips frequently praised while prices are noted as high and value can vary. Some experiences describe slow or uneven service, especially at busy times, occasional communication gaps, and a few dishes that did not meet expectations; nonetheless the ambiance is often described as warm and welcoming and the staff as friendly, with a strong view and a casual vibe keeping guests returning for the seafood and scenery. Regulars appreciate consistent quality and the chance to dine al fresco, and many reviews mention planning a return for the atmosphere and the seafood.
Early season visit to this restaurant. I heard that it was one of the best in the small town.
We were a table of 6 & the service was on par. Our wine glass was never empty & water was full. The outdoor view & extremely large terrasse is a huge asset. The ambiance was inviting & laid back.
Then the food came. WoW. Portions are huge & very Tasteful. I just wanted to reach out to the owner that ...bravo... I will definitely be back
Peter's Cape Cod never disappoints! I've been coming here every year for the views, ambiance & of course the savoury food.Always fresh, money's worth & large portions.Staff is always attentive & take immediate proactive action to make you feel welcomed. If you're looking for a restaurant in Sainte-Anne de Bellevue THIS IS THE PLACE.Thank you & see you soon!
I'll start with the food : even though the presentation was really nice, most of it was overly salty (cajun sauce, fries); in the fried seafood platter, the calamari was overly dry. Also, 2 of our party ordered whole fish & the rest of us were served about 20 minutes before them: we had time to finish our food before they got their plate (the restaurant did offer them complimentary soup though). As for the service, our waitress spoke only English & admitted not knowing a single word of French. The cherry on top was that she charged us twice the bill because the first tap'didn't go through', & we've been dealing & wasting time with trying to get our money back from the credit card company for a few weeks now.
A shame because the owner seems really lovely & the location is superb.

We were 2 people & were seated at a 4 person table, right behind another table. I couldn't even get into my seat, without moving the table. It was that close to the person behind me. They had multiple empty 2 person tables available. Slow service also from the head of house. We were waiting a few minutes to be seated.
Our food was very good, but the service was slow & our waiter was rushed, even though the restaurant was not even at 50% capacity. It seemed like we were bothering him just by ordering our food. The menu could use some details also like describing what's in each plate. Nice to see that they changed to using hand-cut fries. The wasps on the patio also ruined our experience & we had to move inside. Also, it boggles my mind why they keep advertising Creemore beer, but they'don't have it' every time we go! We enjoyed ourselves, but will likely go elsewhere next time.
Used to come here as a teen & haven't been in well over 15 years. Went today & loved it! Sat outside with a view of the canal. Lobster roll & fries were great! Good portions. Enjoyed the key lime pie - personally I prefer when the pie has a strong citrus flavour & this was more mild, but objectively as a pie, it was great flavour, texture & crust.
Restaurant Cap Code offers a decent dining experience. The food was fine & portions were reasonable, but nothing really stood out as exceptional. The service was polite, though a bit slow, & the atmosphere was pleasant but fairly standard. It's a good spot if you're in the area & looking for a simple, casual meal, but it didn't quite leave a lasting impression for me.
