Friendly staff…bilingual, very important to me. Good food & a high assortment of games, although I was happy to know that I could bring my own games. Most importantly, the atmosphere was so cool. I took a moment to look around & appreciate everyone enjoying each others company while playing games. I am DEFINITELY going to be a regular here. Thank you to the staff for an excellent & memorable experience.

We waited about 30 minutes to be seated, but the place was absolutely packed - so we totally understood. It's clearly a spot people love going to.
Even with the wait, it was worth it. We ended up having such a fun night. The energy in the room was contagious - lots of laughter, people fully into their games, just a really lively atmosphere.
If you go during a busy time, just be patient. The staff are doing their best & still take the time to explain the games, which we appreciated. It also helps to arrive with a rough idea of what kind of games you enjoy so you can jump in faster.
The food was good, & overall the vibe made the whole experience memorable. A little chaotic, yes - but in that happy, everyone's-having-fun kind of way. I'd definitely go back with friends.
Good place to go try new board games, however, not worth it for just 1-1.5h as you need to pay to go in. The food is very disappointing. We had the classic & decadent burgers & they were both too greasy & not great. The fries were saggy. I ordered a mocktail & it was way too sweet, couldn't even drink it. I don't think we'll be back, unless if we really want to discover new board games.
I love this place for the concept! Boardgames with friends & family is always fun to me.
It's a chance to try new games & learn.
I found the employees very sweet & kind.
The food was OK. I ordered a burger & it was tasteless. First time I've added salt to a beef patty haha
The main focus is not the food! Chocolate cake was rich. Loved it.
Other wise the cider is good & atmosphere very fun!
This location makes you pay $9+tx per person & then makes everybody at the table buy food or else you can't stay because it's'technically a restaurant'... What's the point of having the entry fee then? To pay the game masters who, by the way, showed up 1-2 times to our table, I feel like this can be included in the tips at this point. If it's a restaurant then operate as a restaurant, otherwise charge the fee & let people play, & order food as an addition if they want to.
Concerning the food, it took FOREVER to come, was on the dry side, & cost an amount of money which doesn't justify the quality provided, on top of that service was VERY slow. This is all something that would technically be unacceptable & incompetent in a place that calls itself a restaurant. Something as simple as tea took 30 minutes just to bring 2 cups of hot water to our table.
Great place to play games & gather with friends, but not that pleasant in the provided conditions unfortunately.
Liz (Lisane) is amazing! Liz is friendly, personable, fun, knowledgeable & gave great recommendations for drinks & games. She taught us how to play Wazabi & now I want to buy the game! We had an amazing time, & as tourists (with standard Ontario high school level French) we appreciated that staff were bilingual. Enjoy the SOAD concert when you come to Toronto Liz! Super merci !
In a mood to have a game night but can't decide which game to play or don't have that one at home? Head here & try out several games & then buy it if you like it.
They have drinks like beer (always seems one of the draft beer fridges is broken every time I come) & food. The food is basic burgers & other stuff like poutine. It's delicious, but the price is a little higher for the portion ($20 for nachos, $15 for classic poutine). The real reason for coming is to play board games!!
Love the atmosphere & the service but the food & drinks are absolutely HORRIBLE. It's a shame because my friends & I love board games but the food being so bad literally stops us from going back. PLEASE put some effort into improving your food & drinks or at least let us bring our own food!
Food blend & expensive, had to stand up 3 times to ask for the game animator, had to pay 2$ extra to bring outside drink, didn't tell us that bacon was not on the menu & didn't adjust the price of the food, games didn't match our taste & animator didn't read the room.
Nice spot , decent beer & 7 out of 10 on my food. Others with me enjoyed theres as much or more. My complaint is my french onion soup wasnt really hot enough, on top of having a shredded cheese blend on it rather than gruyere. With melba toast on the side. Also its 9 dollars per person to play games. A little expensive but it was a fun evening i would do it again.

The vibe at Randolph Pub is cozy, & the selection of games is fantastic, definitely a great place for a casual hangout. Our waitress was sweet but rarely came to check on us, which was a bit frustrating especially with the quality of our food & beverages. Now for the food... absolutely NOT worth it. We got an appetizer platter for about $24, & it had maybe 9 tiny pieces of fried food... not satisfying at all. Beverage options for non-drinkers were severely lacking. Their coffee machine was broken, so we were left with either a cheap juice option or their "bubble tea." I tried the strawberry bubble tea with lychee pearls, & it was atrocious. The strawberry syrup wouldn't even mix properly, it was gelatinous & tasted like tap water. I ended up spending over $40 here & left both hungry & thirsty. While this place has potential with its nice atmosphere & games, it falls flat in execution, especially when it comes to food & drinks.
We had Farah as a server & Renaud was there to recommend & explain games. We could not have asked for a better person to explain games to us. He knew right off what we would like & explained at the perfect pace for us. The server also made this experience absolutely amazing! She recommended the absolute perfect drink, was easy to talk to & quite funny. One of the best date nights we have had because of the staff!
Animator (game presenter?) was very helpful & found us a great game we'd never heard about, & it was a blast! He came around to check on us, see if we'd died yet, & was genuinely happy for us when we actually managed to finish & win the game. Food is good, little bit on the pricier side, but normal for bar food. Chips are fantastic, & I love the chemistry set DnD potion cocktails you can order.
I understand that it's a Friday night but I don't understand how there is so many workers yet not many that check on clients. We always had to get up & find someone to ask to order or to get a game (we even put away the games to give the hint)- sometimes more than 30 minutes to an hour of wait. Then the food is the typical shrinkflation, overpriced & small portions. & the atmosphere, of course loud as expected but hard for our group to play certain games without not understanding. Our mistake was to have 8 people, I recommend always going as a small group, less than 5 people to really enjoy Randolph!
The concept is great, & it would be amazing with small improvements. The person who received us was wonderful. Very clear instructions on how it works, cover charge, where the bathrooms are, self-serve water, etc. & made us feel welcome right away. Our server was very nice also, did his job well. Our game master was a bit disappointing. He seems a little young & could use some people-skills. He didn't recommend a game that matched what we were looking for but in his defense, he might have misunderstood (I asked for WORD games & he might have heard BOARD games. Although if that was the case, he didn't ask us to elaborate on what kind of board games. He just nodded & came back with some random game). I don't mind the game; I had an open mind to try new games while I was there. I really didn't enjoy his attitude, which really reduced the whole experience. After the first game, we went to look at the game library ourselves & was met with the first girl that greeted us. She was very courteous & helpful & ended up being our game host. If it had been her from the start, our experience would have been completely different. She was amazing at finding us games & adapting & explaining them to us. Side note: Apparently you are not allowed to take the games yourself, as we were rudely told by our first game host while we were browsing. That left a sour taste with me also. There are better ways to let new clients know of this, as demonstrated by our 2nd host. In regards to the games, there is a huge library of games, which is fantastic. While the selection is great, it lacks certain staple games such as chess/checkers, Mastermind, Uno, etc. But it's not a big deal if the target is toward trendy party games. The food tasted ok but the selection is very limited. I wanted to order more food because I love munching while playing, but there just wasn't anything that was enticing. I think it would be great if there were more appetizers. Overall, my friend & I had fun because the last game that was recommended to us by our 2nd game host was awesome. We would have stayed longer if there were more food selection. I would recommend this place but wit certain asterisks.
