If you like fresh baked sweet fried dough & fresh delicious toppings don't eat these what ever you do. If you try them you will never stop eating them. Seriously you have been warned.
If you're needing something to handle the pastry & chocolate/sweet urge this is a good option. 1 is enough for 1 person but it's also rich & can be shared if needed.
Beavertails seem to be a Canadian thing - since I'm an out of towner, I wanted to try. According to Google: a beavertail is'a Canadian pastry, specifically a flat, fried dough treat shaped like a beaver's tail, & is often topped with various sweet toppings like cinnamon sugar, chocolate, or fruit. It's a popular Canadian dessert, especially in Ontario & Quebec.'
I got the pistachio nord, which they were advertising. It's pistachio cream drizzled over the chocolate beavertail. It was pretty sweet, but it was also very tasty.
I visited during summer, & it was so hot inside. There was little to no AC. The line seems long, but it goes by pretty quickly. The inside is pretty with some seating.
Credit card/Apple Pay accepted.
No Wifi
Bathroom in the back.
The beaver tails are very sweet & sugary🙌 They make them pretty quickly so the wait is minimal, also since they are a classic place you really must visit at least once🦫♥?
Yummy sweet so good after drink & fun you need some sweet lol
My first ever beaver tails. The dough/pastry part had such good flavor to it, which shows the care they put into every part. The toppings were appropriately rich & sweet. The chocolate chaud was top notch. I'm honestly making this comment so in the future, when I come back to montreal, I can have another one.
Overall, the service was good, & I only recommend this location for takeout. Don't expect to find a place to sit & enjoy your order. There are only a couple of stools, a bench, & a Muskoka chair under their sign "Bonjour my sweet." The washroom is badly placed in front of the service counter.
A local bartender told us to try this & it did not disappoint. SO delicious - we got Killaloe & hazelnut & they were amazing. Samuel served us & he was so sweet & accommodating
Beaver tails is one iconic Canadian dish that every tourist, citizen tries once in a lifetime. A sweet dish with a beautiful mess I'll say. The best tasting simple yet affordable desserts. Must try the brownie, pistachio, oreo etc flavors. Quick grab & go type of food.
Very good but too fat sweet food. It deserves a visit though. Cookies, pastries & chocolate cremes are all good. The staff is also good.
First time trying BeaverTails, it was a good sweet treat to have in the afternoon when the blood sugar levels start to drop. Tried two different flavours & enjoyed them both, the original was nice, sugary & dry & the apple pie was sweet, moist & gooey. If you haven't tried them then worth popping in to get a snack.
I am soo glad that they still have "apple pie" flavor!I came from Ottawa to Montreal as a visiter, & the beaver tails in Ottawa stop servering "apple pie" flavor(I didn't gonna check their Retail store menu but at least they stop selling this flavor on Uber). both my friend & I like it. even to us the nutella banana one is too sweet
