The Food is soooo Authentic & Delicious that my son who is extremely picky loves it. The Obsession with all of the sides that just make the Mains shine is truly a work of art. Thank you to the wonderful family who have fed us from their hearts.
The food was really good, well cooked. They need to probably renovate as the atmosphere became a little used. Service was amazing, waitress were running to get the orders. Really enjoyed it & recommending everyone to try.
Maybe I went there with high expectations since it's known to be the best persan food in montreal? -Food was average -Restaurant was dirty overall ( the table & the chairs ..) , disgusting toilets -Very loud noisy old speaker that will just give you migraine -& poor ventilation 🤦🏼♀️ the smell of burning food was so strong that I left with a headache The staff was nice though
I saw the reviews & pictures before, but doesn't do the food justice. My first time at a Persian restaurant & I will definitely be back. Best kababs I've ever had! Pictutres here are the barg & koubideh, better than the stew IMO & I'm not a kebab person usually so that's saying something. The marinated olives in pomegranate & walnut, OMG! (Zaitun parvardeh). Even the salad & soup were delicious. The tea is a must. The only reason for not 5 star across the board is the ambiance/déco but it's about the food for me. It gave cabane a sucre vibes which was fun & family style but not overly romantic or fancy. Again that doesn't take away from the quality of food! Parking was pleasantly easy off a side street, & right next to villa Maria metro stop.
Constructive criticism. Please clean the kitchen a bit more. My canadian friends that I invited, took a picture of part of the kitchen floor under the fridge & the washroom & showed me. I was so embarrassed 😳 A small renovation on the walls & washroom with a modest persian decoration will do the job. You can turn this place around & have much more customers 😏 I'm hoping one day to come back & see the changes you've made. I would love for this restaurant to get to a higher level. The food is ok....the rest has to catch up.
Great food & wonderful kebabs!!! Very friendly staff & cozy (but somewhat decadent) atmosphere
The kebab koobideh was ok a little too dry, My friend had kebab barg & she didn't like it that much, compre the quality it was too expensive. Nice people & atmosphere
"Montreal's oldest Persian gem - a true culinary delight! The kebab koobideh here is unparalleled, perfectly seasoned & grilled to perfection. The rich flavors & historic charm make this restaurant a must-visit for any food enthusiast."
The food is ok, the service is good, the location & ambiance not so much. It's a bit overpriced in my opinion.
A hidden gem in Montreal. The meat is incredible. The staff make you feel at home. The atmosphere is welcoming & unique. Worth the trip.
Lamb & rice was AMAZING!!!!! Staff very friendly, portion were generous. Clean place & washroom. It's just an awesome place!!!!!
Really good homemade like food. It's one of the best lamb shank dishes I have tried. It's a totally recommended place to with family & have a good meal.
We did takeout & since I'm half Iranian & from Toronto where we have the best Persian food, I can say that this is definitely the best koobideh (juicy & tasty) & Persian food in Montreal, we'll definitely be going back, everything was fresh & good quality & tasty, & they were very nice & gave us an extra side complimentary & extra tomatoes. The takeout was packaged very clean & nice & easy to carry out too - it was still juicy & hot & great after driving it home. I'm really happy that I finally tried this place & found a good Persian restaurant in Montreal, the only one I will ever eat at again. I gave it a 5 for Montreal but because it's the best in Montreal, but comparing it to California or Toronto - which has the best Persian food in the world... it would have gotten a 3.5.
