This restaurant has always been my favorite one! The employees are always making sure that we have water & that the food is good. I’ve been to this restaurant for more then 5 times & NEVER been disappointed! At night, 90% of the time it’s very full since the place is small & the waiting time could be a bit of a bummer, but waiting to eat there is worth it!
I usually enjoy coming to this restaurant, however the service took a long time, we had non veg Thali on this occasion however the Nan was burnt & the worst part it tasted burnt. We told the waitress & she just repeated what we said. At the cash we mentioned this so they told them in the kitchen to try not to burn them but alas it had spoilt our meal.
Otherwise the food is usually good.

Service Super méga long.
La nourriture était très bonne mais épicé.
J’ai pris la soupe au lentille, c’était délicieux ,
de plus le pani puri était bon.
This place have the best indian food in MTL! Try the tikka massala chicken, beef kadhai + garlic naan. Only 4⭐? because of the service & the ambiance is bad. They put no music & won't come back to the table to ask if everything ok or give you more water. But you have to go there for the food!

This place used to be a good price & good food. I went there last week to discover they boost up the price of the Thali of 2$ more in one shot!! No restaurant does something like that. This is the result of somekind of agreement between all the indian restaurent on that corner. They all did this at the same time!!! What a scam. I've ben going to the Punjab Palace for 17 Years & Indian curry House since 2006 or when they opened. I would go often & even talk to people about thoses places. I did talk to the owner of the Punjab Palace last time I went, his answer was: The food as gone up....yea, right , in one shot? This is just bad management. If they diden't change their price as the food went up in the last 2 years, it's just bad management, they should not dump that on the client. Anyway, if the restaurant is empty every now & then, don't wonder... I'm just gonna go somewhere else, good luck.
Le service est vraiment atroce. On a mangé le repas principal & on a attendu au moins 45 minutes car on voulait commander un dessert & un thé. Finalement, nous nous sommes frustrés & avons quitté. Un gros manque de structure dans l'organisation du travail. Le personnel ne parle quasiment pas français! La nourriture est correct mais sans plus. Mon expérience client fut déplorable.
Le Punjab Palace offre un excellent rapport qualité/prix, en plus d'être un apporté votre vin. La nourriture y est excellente & bien épicée, les portions sont généreuses : on en sort le ventre plein, en roulant!
Le seul détail qui ne fait pas de ce restaurant le meilleur de tout Montréal réside dans un service nonchalant, pour reprendre le terme d'un autre commentaire. Il n'en est pas moins sympathique, mais il est vrai qu'il correspond au minimum. Aussi, la déco utilitaire de la salle laisse un peu à désirer, mais quelle utilité a cette pièce lorsqu'on est trop obnubilé par la nourriture & son allure éclatante, alléchante.
Bref, ce restaurant est à essayer sans l'ombre d'un doute!

Bonjour ça fait plusieurs fois que je vais là avec mon conjoint & l'autre jour on a invité ma mère qui a bien aimé aussi. La nourriture est excellente. Nous conseillons les entrées de paneer & les calmars également sont excellents en entrée. J'adore le poulet rajonash qui est un poulet dans un sauce au safran & yogourt. Mon conjoint lui aime beaucoup les biryanis. Pour ce qui du service, c'est plus ordinaire parfois les plats arrivent pas tous en même temps & on se fait jamais offrir de dessert malgré que on en demande jamais, car je suis pleine à la fin & ils n'ont pas de thé , malgré que c'est dans leur menu. Ce n'est pas une place où le service est excellent, défois c'est pire que d'autre fois, mais la nourriture est tellement excellente & en plus c'est apportez votre vin, alors je le conseille fortement.
On y va pour la bouffe typique de l'Inde (je suis allé souvent en Inde) très savoureuse. Service & ambiance ordinaire mais le prix & la qualité de la nourriture nous les font oublier.
Overall, I would strongly recommend Punjab Palace to Indian food lovers &/or adventurers. According to my first experience there (& it won’t be my last one), the value versus the quality is something to consider. They are generous with the portions & all the flavours are very present. I will definitely come back & try out other dishes though just by curiosity.

Bien que le rapport qualité/prix soit très bon, le service est déplorable. Alors qu'à notre arrivée le restaurant était presque vide, ils nous ont installé sur une table pour 4 alors que nous étions 6. Il a fallu demandé à plusieurs de l'eau, des verres à vin & des couteaux. Serveurs plus que nonchalants! Propreté tres discutables des toilettes. De plus, pour pouvoir réserver, ils imposent de manger pour plus de 20$ par personne, ce qui est excessif aux vues des prix à la carte!

Un très beau restaurant indien ! Le classique chicken butter y est délicieux, les samousas (végé ou poulet...) ainsi que les autres plats également ! Belle découverte.
Une copine & moi avions choisi ce resto en fonction de trois critères: indien; ouvert pour le dîner du mardi; & on apporte sa bouteille.
Comme d’autres l’ont mentionné, la salle n’a rien pour ravir sur le plan de l’esthétique, mais on y est confortablement assis & l’absence de musique tapageuse & de réverbération sonore rend l’atmosphère paisible.
En entrée, j’ai pris les pakoras aux légumes. Très décevant. Une portion gargantuesque de friture, un peu trop cuite du reste. Je me demande encore quels étaient les légumes qui avaient servi de base à ce plat.
Par contre, les crevettes Kadahi qui ont suivi étaient beaucoup plus intéressantes. Un plat savoureux & généreux, juste délicatement relevé.
Le service est efficace. Curieusement, on m’a apporté un seau à glace pour le vin sans que j’aie à le demander, mais, comme d’autres l’ont noté, on nous laisse le soin de déboucher notre bouteille. Les garçons qui nous ont servis étaient professionnels, mais pas très chaleureux. Ce n’est pas un reproche : seulement une caractéristique.
Bref, un bon petit resto, qui peut offrir certains plats savoureux, mais qui ne justifie pas un grand détour.
Visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday.
The food was good, we ordered 6 dishes. All of them were delicious & tasty. We ordered the garlic naan which was the best I've ever had so far. Their butter chicken is awesome! Their is no service..they didn't even open the wine for us..they just dropped a wine opener at our table..but that's fine. For the price you're paying, I won't be complaining. Best part is the BYOW!! Will def be back.
