My go-to place for samosas & Indian sweets in particular. Their thali plates are recommended, go for the bhatura.
Been a client here for decades, finally remembered to review. Service is impeccable, with individual customers' preferences remembered months later, polite, professional, & the premises always clean & well-maintained.
Recent interior décor updates were welcome as this family-owned place has been around through 2 to 3 generations of many clients' families by now, & new, witty pun posters provide some touches of whimsy. The music can be a bit bass-heavy if you're sitting near the speakers.
The food is always good & consistently prepared (a rarity these days). In fact, last week's bhaigan-aloo (eggplant-potato) on the thali was one of the tastiest I've ever had, at home or dining out. The only bémol has become the samosas, which used to also be consistently the same & tasty but have become quite hit or miss. The'machine made' are usually good, while the'hand made' seem to involve many different makers & thus sizes, recipes, & levels of spiciness. My most recent 6 were way too spicy while a dozen I picked up last winter were teeny tiny to the point that I called the resto to ask if they'd started giving minis.
The variety of sweets is fresh, yummy, & especially quite a sight to see when it comes Diwali time.
Amazing little restaurant.
Great, tasty vegetarian dishes (especially the chana samosa!), & the largest variety of Indian desserts my partner & I have yet to find.
The staff are also very friendly, warm & welcoming.
My partner & I are moving back to LaSalle & this restaurant is one of the big positive aspects we are looking forward to.
We had a fantastic experience at Punjab Delight. The food is absolutely authentic, fresh, & bursting with flavour. The restaurant is spotless, & the atmosphere is warm & welcoming.
I tried the chana samosa-it was delicious, perfectly spiced, & the portion was generous. The thali was a real standout: a well-balanced mix of dishes with just the right amount of heat & rich, vibrant flavours in every bite.
Service was excellent-friendly, attentive, & bilingual, which made everything smooth & pleasant. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, quality Indian meal made with care. Will definitely be coming back!
Authentic flavors, warm hospitality, & generous portions, Punjab Delight lives up to its name!
From the moment we walked in, the aroma of fresh spices & home-style cooking made it clear we were in for something special. Every dish we ordered from the samosa chaat & tikki chaat to butter chicken to the dal makhani & tandoori naan was bursting with flavor & clearly made with care.
The owners are incredibly friendly & attentive, offering great suggestions & making us feel right at home. Portions were more than generous, & everything tasted fresh & authentic, just like a meal from a Punjabi kitchen.
Whether you're craving comfort food or introducing someone to Indian cuisine for the first time, Punjab Delight is a must-visit gem in LaSalle. Can't wait to go back!
Honestly saying, 3rd best samosa shop in montreal but they changed the way they make it now sadden
