Great spot to grab a bite & have a drink. Service was great. It gets busy soRT plan ahead. We were able to get a table for two. Had the smoked meat poutine. Highly recommend. Fish & Chips is also a solid choice.

?If you find yourself in Montreal & feel the sudden, inexplicable urge to punish your arteries, Pub Victoria is the place to do it. I arrived as a confused tourist & left as a man who has seen the face of Canadian culinary madness-& liked it.
?I ordered the Poutine, a dish that looks like a high-speed collision between a potato farm & a dairy factory. It's a heap of fries smothered in a gravy so thick it could probably be used as engine oil, topped with'squeaky cheese' that sounds like a frantic mouse every time you take a bite. There were chunks of meat involved, too. I have no earthly idea if this is how it's supposed to look or taste, but it was, frankly, delicious.
?Wash it all down with a Guinness, & you have the perfect'working lunch.' By which I mean, you will be utterly incapable of doing any actual work for the rest of the day. It's heavy, it's messy, & it's magnificent.
Came for the puzzle pint night, which was really fun! The drinks were good & the staff friendly, but the food was not very good. It came out quickly, but my fish & chips were hard as a rock & tasted like they had been frozen & then fried. The fries were also bland & tasted old. The rest of the group also mentioned their burgers/poutines, etc. were not very good. Nice little pub, but disappointed in the food quality compared to other places in Montreal.
We were staying in an AirBnB around the corner & had the great good fortune to come across this pub! Adam was a great host/server & spent some time chatting with us & told us about the 4 Nations Playoffs that were going on that week. While we waited for the great tasting poutine to arrive we bought tickets to the Finkand/Sweden game. Adam was great fun & didn't hold our crazy president against us.
An absolute gem of a pub in Old Town. If you're seeing the Notre Dame Cathedral, this is a great place to stop for some warm food & cold beer. The staff was super kind & gave us recommendations for what to do next during our stay in Montreal! I only regret not getting a poutine while I was there.
This is a local bar with local bar vibes. We went in July. No air conditioning, so I had to sweat my way through dinner. The poutine was good. Decent bar food & friendly staff.
