About

Pub Saint Pierre functions as a classic bistro-style establishment focused on high-quality grilled selections and substantial burger options. The kitchen emphasizes fundamental techniques to prepare consistent, savory plates suitable for casual interactions. Diners encounter a menu balanced between seasoned meat preparations and traditional pub-style accompaniments. The interior reflects an utilitarian aesthetic that prioritizes functional space and communal atmosphere over decorative flourish. Every burger features hand-pressed patties paired with fresh garnishes to ensure structural integrity and bold flavor profiles. This venue serves as a reliable destination for those seeking robust comfort food served in a focused, no-nonsense environment. The culinary approach centers on the integrity of the grill, ensuring that heat and seasoning remain the primary drivers of the overall dining encounter.

Review Summary

Pub Saint Pierre is widely celebrated as a cozy, historic gem in Old Montreal, offering a lively atmosphere that is perfect for enjoying pub classics like burgers, fish and chips, and beef tartare alongside a solid selection of beers and creative cocktails. While the restaurant is frequently praised for its friendly, professional staff and warm, inviting environment, it can become quite crowded and loud, making reservations highly recommended. Although most guests describe their dining experiences as memorable and delicious, opinions on service speed and noise levels vary, and some visitors have noted that the intimate, bustling layout can feel cramped during peak hours.

Thanks to the very helpful staff. One improvement would be for the music to not be quite so loud as this is a place where we want to be able to speak to & hear the person next to us.

We really enjoyed our experience except we were overcharged for three beers. We ordered four beers during happy hour & only received the happy hour price for one of the beers at $7.00. We arrived at 4:30pm & left around 8:30pm. There is no way we had only one beer between 4:30pm & 7pm...please look into this. Thank you.

Parfait! The best tartare in the city, great ambiance, fun, light, great service & staff. Our new favorite place. See you again soon!

Great little spot! They have a snack menu that's available pretty late so even if the kitchen is closed you can get pretty hardy food! I also enjoyed the litres of beer they serve, I don't think I they did pitchers when I went so we each just caved & got a litre & then always means a good time.

Went here 2 times during our visit to Montreal. That should say something. The first time was on a Tuesday afternoon & it was not crowded. My wife got the French toast Benny & I got the Burger. Both were very good. The second day was on a Sunday afternoon & there was limited seating, but no wait. Wife got the Benny again. She was not AS happy about it as it came out cold & eggs were overdone. Sent it back & it came out MUCH better. I had the poutine & tomato soup. IF you are looking for the typical Canned Creamy soup, this is not it. It was chunky, savory & it's color was a bit more on the brown size. The taste was good.
