Always a great sign. The hostess told me 5-10 minutes for a bar seat but it was more like 15, perfectly fine for a weekend. It's a small restaurant so be prepared to wait in the vestibule or outside. The hostess was able to sit me at a'family style' table which was really fun! Two servers for the whole floor but the service was quick & attentive. Food was fantastic, the fish & chips were well worth it. I can't speak much to the alcohol as I didn't drink but the beer selection looks excellent. I would absolutely return.
We stopped in for beers yesterday afternoon & the service was really great.
Only got drinks. Can't recommend the beers here. Beer lines were in need of a cleaning. Guinness & bitburger tasted off, & the Guinness glasses weren't properly cleaned. Staff was nice & it is a nice space. To be a proper pub, they need to focus more on the quality of the beer.
Great afternoon of beer & cocktails watching the soccer game. Harry was a magician behind the bar providing us some intoxicating cocktails
Visited last Sunday as a solo. Waitresses was excellent & very accommodating. She was also very cute. Beer was great, nice & crisp. Food was nice & had a good vibe. It will get crowded so go early or reserve.. Great to watch a game.
Went back a week later for lunch on a Friday. Burger was top notch. Bartender was personable & a real professional. This guy knows how to make cocktails. I did go back to the beer that was consistently good. Definatley worth a stop
Great beers, phenomenal food! But the service is what stood out! Our waitress Jesse was absolutely phenomenal & we hope to see her again when we return!
Really excellent, traditional & cosy pub in the heart of Montreal old town. Great value happy hour, including a very solid selection of beers & wines & $2 oysters with fresh horseradish & delicious vinaigrette. Top notch. Highly recommend.
Came in for a work 5 a 7 with colleagues. We were told that our reservation was valid for 2-hours (so far so good). About 5 mins after we were served a fresh round of drinks (close to the 2-hour mark), the staff came & told us we had to leave the table immediately. Our beers were still completely full so we asked the staff what to do if we were literally being kicked out of the table, they told us to stand up in the corridor (outside the toilets, in the way of staff coming in & out of the kitchen). We ended up walking out to finish our drinks (the 10C night somehow felt warmer than the cold treatment we got from the staff!), this caused yet another discussion with the staff. Never coming back!
I've really enjoyed sharing this anecdote with everyone I know... as people say:'your customers are your best advertisers!' interestingly, as I've shared this story with other colleagues & friends, many people have told me that the same thing happened to them!
Sloppy strategy Pub Saint Pierre, particularly when your clientele is made of local working people, who, like us, organize work gatherings often... we will continue to do this, just not at your pub!
Beer selection is poor but food makes up for that. Atmosphere is very big city pub with tourists mingling with local. Bar staff is not always friendly & not engaging, much like a big city pub. Overall, great food & fun!
