Pub Saint Pierre is widely celebrated as a standout destination in Old Montreal, consistently praised for its warm, cozy, and inviting atmosphere that perfectly captures a classic pub experience. Many visitors highlight the elevated quality of the food, noting delicious options like the beef tartare, lobster dishes, various burgers, and hearty brunch selections that go well beyond standard pub fare. The drink menu is equally appreciated, featuring a strong selection of beers, wines, and expertly crafted cocktails. The service is frequently described as friendly, professional, and accommodating, with numerous guests mentioning that the staff goes out of their way to ensure a memorable visit, even during busy periods. Whether stopping by for a lively sports match, a relaxing happy hour with oysters, or a late-night bite, guests often find the establishment to be a memorable and welcoming addition to the neighborhood, making it a recurring favorite for both locals and travelers alike.
Really excellent, traditional & cosy pub in the heart of Montreal old town. Great value happy hour, including a very solid selection of beers & wines & $2 oysters with fresh horseradish & delicious vinaigrette. Top notch. Highly recommend.
First of the ambience & the staff is amazing. The poutine was good. I also ordered some olives with humus & chips. Humus was nothing like it & chips are just market stuff. But the pub itself & personnel are lovely. Go try!
This place is amazing! Great food, good prices, & service is always friendly. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a fantastic happy hour or pub in the Old Port.
Came in for a work 5 a 7 with colleagues. We were told that our reservation was valid for 2-hours (so far so good). About 5 mins after we were served a fresh round of drinks (close to the 2-hour mark), the staff came & told us we had to leave the table immediately. Our beers were still completely full so we asked the staff what to do if we were literally being kicked out of the table, they told us to stand up in the corridor (outside the toilets, in the way of staff coming in & out of the kitchen). We ended up walking out to finish our drinks (the 10C night somehow felt warmer than the cold treatment we got from the staff!), this caused yet another discussion with the staff. Never coming back!
I've really enjoyed sharing this anecdote with everyone I know... as people say:'your customers are your best advertisers!' interestingly, as I've shared this story with other colleagues & friends, many people have told me that the same thing happened to them!
Sloppy strategy Pub Saint Pierre, particularly when your clientele is made of local working people, who, like us, organize work gatherings often... we will continue to do this, just not at your pub!
Pub St-Pierre is our go-to spot whenever we're in Old Montreal. If you're looking for a true local vibe paired with great food, this is it. The menu is absolutely delicious without any pretension. My personal favourite is the steak tartare-available during dinner service & always a must. Whether you're in the mood for a pint, a cocktail, or even a mocktail, you won't be disappointed at Pub St-Pierre. ♥
Writing a review as I see another recent similar reviewer about a similar case & this could be a trend to be watchful of. I went to this pub recently & got a drink & appetizers, including oysters. Later that night I got severe food poisoning, which took the whole weekend to fully recover from, & my friend had a similar experience. I advise the pub & future clients to be careful.
I had no problem with the service, but this was a very unfortunate outcome, hence my 1 stars.
We went to Pub St Pierre as a group of 7 for brunch over the weekend & had a great experience. Our server was prompt, took care of our guest with dietary restrictions, & ensured everyone was well taken care of! Food was great & we had no complaints!
I gave 4 stars for atmosphere solely because the music was way too loud for a brunch service, otherwise everything was very clean & inviting!
