"Gourmet poutine? LOL. This is not the best poutine at all in Montreal. The fries were dry inside and simply don't taste great (old potatoes?). Go to a casse-croûte for a real quebecoise poutine if you have a car. If not, try the Pool Room instead. Keep it classic - no toppings. If you want a choice of toppings : try La Banquise."
