PoutineVille is the result of an idea that had simmered for a decade in the heads of three longtime friends. It is the union between the expertise of an experienced chef, Tony Rea and imagination of Kosta Kariotakis, Camillo Fresco and you!
Make your own poutine by choosing the ingredients you want. Add extra vegetables, choose different meats and you can even choose what kind of patato you want. Not feeling creative? Let them serve you one of their pre-made amazing poutines, you won't be disappointed.
PoutineVille offers a highly customizable dining experience that makes it a popular choice for both locals and tourists seeking authentic or inventive poutine. Many visitors appreciate the generous portion sizes, fresh ingredients, and the unique ability to build their own dishes, which cater to a wide range of tastes including vegetarian and gluten-free preferences. While experiences can occasionally vary, the restaurant is frequently praised for its friendly, welcoming atmosphere and efficient service. With a diverse menu that extends beyond classic poutine to include burgers, milkshakes, and international flavors, it is considered a reliable spot for a comforting meal at a fair price.
Absolutely amazing experience at Poutineville. The food was incredible, comforting, & honestly felt like home the second we walked in. What really stood out though was the humanity behind this place. During a downpour, customers were coming in soaked, & the owner was personally helping people dry off & even offering clothes to keep them comfortable. In today's world, you rarely see that kind of kindness & genuine care anymore.
& can we talk about those fried pickles?! Easily some of the best I've had in years. The last time I remember loving fried pickles this much was back in the Snooki from Jersey Shore era 😂
Great food, amazing atmosphere, & even better people. This place deserves all the support.
I think John, our waiter this evening was probably one of the best waiters I've ever encountered in my travels. Incredibly friendly & engaging, he was meticulous with his suggestions & making sure we had the best experience. This was our repeat attendance at Poutineville after our very first meal upon arrival in Montreal from New York City. Our waitress that Thursday evening, Jenn, was also fantastic & so sweet. We talked extensively with John after we decided to come back on our final evening in Montreal again for the outrageously delicious poutine. He was the cherry on top, leaving us with a huge smile on our face going back to New York. Cannot wait to come back & call the restaurant to find out if John &/or Jenn is working again. You definitely created a new culinary passion for poutine in us!
Side note: We decided to go with the brilliant XANGO for dessert once again. Way too good to pass up & leave room for this special treat!
Five stars all the way! My hubby brought home dinner from Poutineville on Ontario Street tonight, & it was absolutely incredible. We ordered a large Poutineville poutine to split, & everything about it was perfect. The fries were honestly amazing - cooked to perfection - & the beef on top was rich, juicy, tender, & almost like a beautiful burgundy-style beef. It paired so perfectly with the potatoes, cheese, & gravy.
The customer service was also excellent. While my husband was waiting, the staff made him feel very comfortable & even asked if he wanted water, which was such a thoughtful touch. The restaurant itself looked really cute & welcoming too - the kind of place we would love to come back & eat in next time.
We can't say enough good things. Delicious food, great service, & a really nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Jen was an outstanding server. & the food was exactly what we wanted. I loved that there is a sweet potato option & an ala carte way to order. We loved the owners suggestion of Zango for dessert. Thank you, Poutineville on Ontario!
Flew in from Edmonton a couple hours before walking to Poutineville & it was worth it!!! Great menu options, good prices & the service was great! John & I chatted about hockey & made sure I had everything I needed for my meal!
It was my first time at Poutineville but it will definitely not be my last. The waiter, John, was incredibly courteous & fast with his service. I appreciated my time there & especially the sub!
Thank you for being such a great place to stop in for a quick bite to eat.
John has served us every time we visited Montreal & he's been terrific. In fact, eating at Poutineville has become a bit of a tradition because of him & the good food.
It's my first time back in Montreal since covid & my first stop for poutine was Poutineville. Service is fast & friendly & the poutine is always awesome. The portions are very generous & I couldn't even come close to finishing the regular sized poutine! Seriously see the before & after pics! I ate until I was stuffed & then ate some more & when I couldn't eat another bite I realized I still couldn't see the bottom of the bowl!!! Will be back at least one more time before I leave Montreal!
