I had the poutine with chicken & peas. It was yummy. Staff was helpful & patient with my very limited French. Second time... not so much. Didn't give us waters until we asked multiple times. & the cheese on my Jaqueline was burned & too crispy to eat. He had zero personality & was not at all helpful. Guy 2 could learn a lot from Guy 1. Atmosphere is open air & industrial trendy.
A neighborhood poutine restaurant with authentic flare. While they offer other dishes including hamburgers the main event (as the name suggests) is poutine. Offered in 3 distinct categories: regular, gourmet, & special the meals feature combinations of popular dishes like bbq, Philly cheese, hot chicken & so on. Seemingly small & with a never ending line the space can be deceiving as the staff does a fantastic job of preparing fresh food quickly & moving people in & out. We tried most of the menu to the point where I could not eat another fry. All flavors didn't disappoint
Actually a really rustic looking corner restaurant with wood & steel interiors. It's giving industrial vibes. Anyway, fairly empty of a Tuesday afternoon. A bit if a walk after having visited the BioDome earlier but there are only so many options nearby. We took a chance on Poutine Centrale & were not disappointed. There are some tables in the front & then the ordering counter. Plenty of seating in the back as well. Heard good things about the Jacqueline so we got a small to share with 2 sodas. It was the perfect snack. Loved loved loved the fried cheese. Went well with the sour cream & gravy & bacon. The day was beautiful so they also opened up the windows.
