Poutine Centrale comes through as a lively, welcoming spot with a wide range of poutines, where crispy fries, rich gravy and fresh cheese curds meet generous portions and good value. The vibe is friendly and local, the staff are praised for being attentive and the service often described as warm even when busy. Reviews highlight the quality and variety of toppings, the freshness of ingredients and the satisfying comfort of each bite. While peak times can bring longer waits, the overall sentiment is that this spot is a standout for poutine lovers looking for bold flavors and a fun, casual atmosphere.
This place is a hidden gem. The atmosphere was fantastic, & the food was delicious. For the $18 price point, I would have appreciated a bit more in terms of toppings & gravy, but overall the quality & taste were excellent. We found it by chance while walking, & I'm very glad we decided to stop in.

On avait super faim, on avait beaucoup marché, le service était adorable, la poutine merveilleuse. Les voisins viennent prendre à emporter : signe d'excellent commerce 🤍
We were at the Biodome & needing something to munch. We decided to get some Poutine here & it was great. The vibe is cool. Iron & wood decor, great staff really tasty food. Give them a go. Short 5 min walk from Pie-IX station.

Saw this place on tik tok & it didn't disappoint. Loved the vibe this place had & my daughter who is very picky with poutine loved the one here. Highly recommend
Excellent endroit & atmosphère animée ! Nous avons partagé un grand bol de poutine garnie de fromage, d'oignons sautés, de poivrons rouges. Authentique poutine de Montréal ! This place was worth the visit.
Very pleasant & the food is very good I recommend the classic (poutine centrale) but all toppings go well with it. I haven't tasted a single one that wasn't a good combination; which is often the main problem in non classic poutines.
I feel bad rating a 2 because the guy was nice. He explained the limited menu right when we walked in, & the service was good. Genuinely - the poutine just wasn't great. The cheese was squeaky, but I felt there was no flavor to the gravy, & the fries tasted like old fair fries. It was also only two guys working, we got a dirty fork, & a glance into the kitchen area sent me spiraling because I'm a bit high maintenance with cleanliness & it just wasn't up to my standard. There were no glaring red flags, but I still was fighting back a panic attack over a freaking bowl of poutine! The tables aren't comfortable. They're a bit odd & don't work for young kids. The playlist was good, though. 90s vibe. Wouldn't return, personally but hope they can improve if this is their dream!
