Reviews describe Poutine Centrale as a lively, welcoming spot with a hip Montreal vibe and a broad menu of poutines, burgers, and sides. Portions are generous and the fries are well cooked, with a mix of classic and creative toppings that keep things interesting. The atmosphere is friendly and casual, with staff often highlighted as kind and attentive. Occasionally, longer waits on busy nights and some concerns about value or portion size appear in the feedback. Overall, Poutine Centrale comes across as a strong go to for a satisfying poutine fix with lots of options and a distinctive ambiance near local attractions.

We found this place on our way to look for a local lunch. They have amazing poutine, everyone ordered a different kind to try & were all very satisfied. The also have great burgers & smash burgers, all the ingredients taste very fresh, & their burger sauce is delicious. They make very real, natural, & tasty fries. They don't have gluten free buns or bread, but most of their poutines are gluten free if you don't mind cross contamination. All in all, great lunch, the wait time was good. Our appetizers of coleslaw & fries came after about 10 minutes, the poutine came before 20, & the burgers came around 30. This was great considering we were a large group & there were a sizeable amount of other people also in the restaurant.
Not enough sauce, not enough cheese, way too many potato skins makes you feel like your eating leather.
There are much better choices for poutine than this place, sorry I was disappointed.
Went back again for a second time &, even if all the ingredients are there, fries cheese, presentation, quantities among other, something is missing. I was expecting the sauce & the overall dish to be more tasty & nope.

We came here on Friday December 20th in the early evening & ordered to go. The place was empty - we initially wanted to order online but noticed the menu was different, less selection, so came in person. We tried one of their smashburgers & a poutine which featured cheese curds, as well as cheddar cheese, green onions & sour cream. The food was delicious but my only complaint is the very small portion size & high price. The burger by itself is over $10 & is super thin - I understand the concept of smash burgers but was surprised it did not come with fries or a drink for that price. The poutine I chose was a "regular" size but felt like a small. The food is also packaged in these cardboard take out boxes which are not lined or waxed so unfortunately most of the sauce absorbs through the paper. There are lots of different container options such as alimunium or waxed cardboard that can be used which would be a more ideal choice especially for poutine. This is just bad planning.

I had poutine with smoked meat & I really enjoyed it! Crispy fries, tasty sauce, a few slices of pickle - everything made for a perfect Montreal poutine. Will definitely go back.
Many options to choose from but of course I had to get the classic. I wasn't impressed, I thought the sauce was bland & the fries were overcooked/mushy. Better than anything you can get out of province, but that's a low bar. The portion was big, but it was also just over 20$ after tax, which I find is way too much for a poutine, let alone a mediocre one.
