We went for lunch & ordered special of the day & calamari. Both were very good & dessert at the end was so delicious too. Highly recommend. Service was very nice as well.View more
Went there during our break, we were seated by the window which was nice. To start with they brought us olives with cold butter & bread. There's a $10 extra fee when you share a plate.View more
Délicieux repas, excellent service. Quelle belle découverte !View more
Very good Portuguese. We have been here twice. The food has always been excellent & the service is friendly & prompt. We will be back again.View more
I have tried a variety of dishes: calamari, shrimps, & grilled sardines. The sardines weren't fresh enough unfortunately. Which is a risk to take & I was informed that they do not arrive frozen. Small fish is hard to store fresh & taste good only of served on the first 2-3 days after caught. So this one is on me. Calamari was a bit rubbery too. I do need to speak highly of the service though: polite, attentive, & friendly.View more
Stumbled here looking for light lunch, fantastic. Thanks again.View more
Best lamb dinner we have enjoyed ever. House wine also very good.View more
Excellent resto. I went there for a romantic dinner with my husband. Great service - great food, terrific good chicken & caldo verde.
Will definitely get back here.
Thank you Porto Mar.View more
One of the best Portuguese restaurant I've been to in town, specifically in the Old Montreal Area, with it own touch.
The service given was very pleasant, helped us with the wine selection.View more
The young lady server Laureen was only the best! She was very kind & good.
The seafood mix with rice was not nice at all, no taste, & kind of soup with rice .
My husband took calamars & shrimps peri peri, again it was tasteless & the calamars were overcooked.
Very touristic restaurant but no quality .View more
Fantastic spot! Food, service, location all perfect! A must if in Old Montreal!View more
Quiet restaurant with some authentic Portuguese cuisine.View more
It's good. The old world 🌎 building dares back centuries. The history of the old port district are marvelous & adds to an excellent atmosphereView more
We had the most amazing meal! Such fresh fish & the spicy shrimp are amazing! Best deal in the Old Port for price & quality! The Cod & Swordfish were amazing!View more
Delicious! We had some allergies & picky eaters in our group & they went above & beyond to take care of our concerns. The chef even came to check on us & our food. The food was amazing as was the brick walls.
Service was friendly. Decor was clean but unexceptional. Calamari was luke warm, bland & limited. Grilled sardines were very good. Cod was good but unexciting. White house wine was quite acceptable. The risk of having $20 charged per person in the event of not showing for a reservation was a bit intimidating & didn't seem to be the norm with the Montreal restaurants. It was also a bit surprising as on Saturday night there were still a log of tables not occupied.
Our meal was delicious, the restaurant very charming & our server, Amber, a delight.
We enjoyed our visit to the Porto Mar restaurant very much. A nice quiet ambience, great service, nicely presented food & lovely staff. Can recommend it to others like us not in the first flush of youth. Best restaurant we visited in Montreal over 4 night stay.
