Polari is Villeray’s newest natural wine bar. With only a couple of tables and a handful of bar seats, the cozy room is perfect for sipping on a great selection of wines from small producers paired with a short menu filled with top-quality products from excellent Québec artisans, such as bread from Hof Kelsten and charcuterie from Aliments Viens.
Polari stands out as a warm, neighborhood wine bar with a simple, sincere menu of small plates, a strong, varied wine list, and attentive, friendly staff; the space is intimate and chic with a cozy vibe and a terrace, making it ideal for after work, dates, or casual evenings with friends, while some visits note occasional cold service or dishes arriving at room temperature; overall, it feels like a refreshing, affordable go-to where every drink and bite adds to a welcoming, enjoyable experience.
J'avais gardé un bon souvenir des deux premières visites… mais visiblement, c'était trop demander que ça dure.
Accueil glacial, serveuse désinvolte. On arrive, on va direct au bar pour commander puisque on sait qu'il faut commander au bar. Mais non : elle insiste pour qu'on aille s'assoir pour... recevoir un menu & un verre d'eau tiède. En pleine canicule, ark. Faque après une minute assis, on doit se relever pour commander. C'est cave.
Mention spéciale au moment du paiement, où la serveuse pointe les options de pourboire à l'écran, comme si on avait besoin d'un tutoriel - avec un petit 18 % minimum, bien sûr. Elle regarde pendant qu'on gosse sur le terminal. Ça ne se fait juste pas.
What an incredible addition to the neighborhood, nay the city in general! The space is intimate & warm! Perfect for an after work glass of wine, evening with friends, cute date or just hanging out with a book at the bar. Everyone who works there is charming & knowledgeable & can take you on a glorious wine journey. The perfect vibe & quite frankly - the perfect wine bar. ❤?

Friendly staff, but only counter service which is kinda silly for a wine bar.
Had a glass of wine & a cocktail, both were good.
They take the minimal industrial look a little too far I find. The low light makes it feel intimate, but otherwise it felt uninviting.
Ambiance feutrée, personnel passionné & de bon conseil. Carte alléchante. Quelques plats originaux. Buvette de quartier à laquelle on a déjà hâte de retourner.

Tiny place with great wine selection. Sadly not a lot of food options, & the plates they have are laughably small & overpriced (chips & ranch dip, beans, the butt of a baguette with one sliver of butter). I would come back for a glass of wine before dinner, but not more.
J'adore ce petit bar très sympathique, sans prétention avec des verres de vin par chers & bons & des petits trucs à grignoter qui sont délicieux. L'été avec la porte de garage ouverte c'est frais & vivant & l'hiver super cozy. Bref le petit spot de quartier parfait pour toute l'année!

Quel bel ajout sur de Castelnau! Un parfait endroit pour prendre l'apéro : des verres de vin abordables, des bonnes grignotines ainsi qu'un bon service. J'y serai régulièrement.
