Afficher toutbowl(15) poke(15) poke bowl(8) fresh(8) sushi(4) sauce(4) quality(4) fish(4) to go(3) rice(3) chicken(3) spicy(3)We bought two Monster bowls. I am a big sushi & poke bowl fan. The bowl is 24$ plus tax basically for white rice & ice berg lettuce. For the price, & the fact that they only give you a small amount of meat, I will never buy this again. My husband was pleased with the bowl though. I don't know. I'd rather sit in a restaurant & have all you can eat sushi for 10$ more.
I had The General & a coconut milk tea.
The chicken portion was fine. The salad was underwhelming, being only lettuce, cucumber, & carrot. The rice was overworked & gluey but well seasoned. The spicy mayo sauce was disconcertingly sour.
The tapioca pearls were half-dissolved mush, & the tea was overly sweet with no distinct flavor.
There are better Poke spots out there that feel like they care a little more about the quality of food they deliver customers, even if they're trend-chasing chains.
Decent people, good service time but my pokebowl was ordered with rice & salad & ended up just being lettuce.
I asked for a refund & only got 5$ back. Would not go again

I've read many reviews mentionning there was too much rice to toppings ratio. I did not experience that as my first Poke Monster bowl. It was balanced. Good amount of sauce not overly wet nor too dry. Fish & toppings were fresh. However I had to give it a 3 stars because of the price. I had the tuna. The amount of fish is not worth $26.00 (tax included). If I compare with a 22 pcx of sushi at a "standard" place, could have paid the same with more variety.
