Guests describe Plein Sud as a warm, inviting spot that feels like a Corsican escape in Montreal, where generous portions, fresh Mediterranean ingredients, and a comforting atmosphere come together on every visit. The menu blends Corsican classics with southern French influences and is praised for rich flavors, from veal with olives to seafood dishes, all offered at sensible prices for the quality. Service is repeatedly highlighted as friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, with staff who help navigate the wine and beer selections, and occasionally contribute to the ambiance with Corsican songs. The ambiance is described as cozy and lively, with tasteful decor and music that enhances the dining experience. Guests note the option to taste Corsican products and local wines, adding value to the evening. Overall Plein Sud comes across as a reliable, welcoming spot to share good food, good company, and a touch of sunshine from the south.
Very friendly staff, came to check on us a few times, recommend plates for three & made us taste wines to make sure we enjoyed our meal at its best. 200% recommend!
Had such a great dinner at Le Plein Sud. We tried the bruschetta, tuna rillettes, veal with fried gnocchi & olives, & the seafood risotto. Everything was delicious, but the rillettes & risotto were the stand outs for us. The Corsican wine & Sospelou mocktail were both excellent! Service was great & the place felt really cozy & well decorated

Very cozy place located just far enough to be quiet but still close to everything. Delicious food, we ordered the meat + cheese charcuterie & beef tartare. The service was spectacular with a pleasant waiter offering wine that suited our dish perfectly. Would recommend & would return :)
The service was not very good. Looks like staffing issues. We heard other clients complaining to the server, & he explained that a sudden influx of customers had overwhelmed them. He apologized, but we realized that the service was simply bad. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, & offered a great wine selection, but we waited 15 minutes for our drinks. The meat was also not cooked properly.
The menu is interesting, & the restaurant has a charming & cozy atmosphere, but I wouldn't go back.
Great wine list , the food was good , we ordered plateau de dégustation a & it could have a bit more cheese . There was only 1 piece. The cheese bread & chickpea chips are yummy. Aioli that came with calamari had way too much garlic, could have more mayo. Overall good atmosphere & food.

Wonderful friendly wait staff & the recommendations by the chef were perfect! Don't miss the authentic Corsican veal/gnocchi dish paired with Corsican wine. A truly unique experience.
Second time at Plein Sud & not disappointed. The wine selection is small but it's excellent. Food is very good & generous portion. We had the gnocchi with veal à la Corse, creamy risotto with scallop, Corsican sausage & veggies. & an amazing panacotta with red berry & basil coulis
A french restaurant with a unique touch, the Corse influences are really interesting! We had an excellent time here. Service was amazing. The waitress knew the menu well & gave us great suggestions based on our preferences. Ambiance & atmosphere was wonderful & relaxing. We got the Planche de Dégustation, which was a fun discovery of flavours. I'm not sure if the menu changes often, but I suggest the chicken & veal plates. Good wine selection with great prices. Only good things to say.

We were completely ignored after we were served our food. Not once did they fill our wine glass, No offer of coffee, & no water refills. Even when we asked for water, server went on to serve 2 more tables before she brought us water. As for the food, though the scallops were perfectly cooked, the overcooked salmon was bland & served over a "espuma of lentils" a very pasty,grey-looking mess. To end the meal, they gave us a tasteless tarte tatin that had a burnt unedible crust. Would never return.
I'm not exaggerating when I say this was one of the top meals I've had in my life. It's on my top five with locations in Italy & France I've been too. Amazing prices for the quality too. Wine selection did not disappoint. Will be back.
With family in from out of town, this was the perfect choice. We ordered an array of tapas & a bottle of wine & a few desserts. It was all absolutely delicious & very reasonably priced. The staff were super friendly & enthusiastic. I am eager to go back!
