Pizzeria Moretti features an authentic menu centered on traditional Italian techniques applied to hearth-baked pizzas and handmade pasta. Each pizza crust undergoes a deliberate fermentation process to ensure a distinct texture and flavor profile consistent with classic Neapolitan standards. The kitchen prepares fresh pasta daily, incorporating high-quality semolina and regional ingredients to create robust, savory dishes. Patrons encounter an open, bustling atmosphere where the centerpiece is a high-temperature wood-burning oven visible from the main dining floor. The menu highlights regional Italian specialties, focusing on ingredient integrity rather than complex embellishments or modern fusion interpretations. Simple, bold flavor combinations define the selections, ensuring that each plate reflects a commitment to the foundational elements of Italian culinary heritage. This establishment maintains a focused culinary identity that emphasizes consistency in every single dish prepared for the table.

Pizzeria Moretti offers a vibrant atmosphere and generally well-regarded Italian cuisine, with many patrons praising the delicious pizzas, pasta, and desserts. While some guests find the experience exceptional and highlight the friendly, attentive service, others report inconsistent quality, noting that the restaurant can be excessively loud and that service speed varies significantly. Opinions regarding value are mixed, as several diners feel the pricing is high for the portion sizes, and experiences with staff demeanor range from highly professional and welcoming to rushed or indifferent. Despite these polar viewpoints, the establishment remains a popular destination where many enjoy the stylish decor and quality menu items.
Moretti is an Italian restaurant in the heart of Montreal. The service was great & she was able to provide serve in French or English. I ordered the tagliatelle but they ran out of that pasta so they switched the noodle to a spaghetti. The waitress advised all their noodles are made from scratch in house & oh my was it delicious! I probably could have had a second bowl. I also had a glass of their house rose which was a great compliment to the food. The people I went with got salads as appetizers which were actually massive & the salmon entree for main. Everything was great but I took one star as I thought the prices were a little high for the portion size of the pasta. Overall I would recommend for a date night or a family outing if budget is not a concern.
Juliane, our server was great, she was so pretty & sweet. She was patient & honest with her recommendations. The food was amazing, we got the margharita pizza with pesto pasta i believe the name was (i'm not 100% sure don't quote me on that).

The food was good but they certainly want to turn over tables. We didn't even have our coats off yet when we were asked what beverages we wanted to order. When we asked for some time, our waitress seemed very annoyed.
Mauvaise service.
I love Moretti , & its worth going there.
only thing , not sure if it is location specific but at this location the grilled octopus was different all together & the
calamari , shirmp fritto I tried at Griffintown was served on a wood board & was lot better quality .
The experience was really disappointing from start to finish. The food was very mediocre & definitely not worth it. What made it even worse was how rushed we felt the entire time. While we were still eating, the waitress kept coming back asking to clear the plates or pack the food to go - around five times. It felt like they were trying to get us out as quickly as possible instead of letting us enjoy the meal.
When it was time to pay, we were told they do not accept Apple Pay, only cash or a physical inserted card, which was already inconvenient. On top of that, we were pressured into leaving a 15% tip, which felt extremely rude & unprofessional. Overall, the service was pushy, the food was underwhelming, & the whole experience left a bad impression. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.
